Tim, it's *only* 5 shows......first four are sold out and the last one will be close if not gone....

Not bad for an old timer...

I think you said in an earlier thread that you are going to one or more of these Fla. shows?

If so I wish you the best....they will be totally Warmed Up after NY......

My wife told me 6 shows, when she talks anything about Bob I should double check, she gets so ga ga over him. Ha

Yea we have all 3 for Fort Lauderdale with each night getting better and better seats (there all good seats in that place) On the 31st she nailed 3rd row seats!

I put a super special order from my  psychedelics laboratory for this epic south Florida run.

I'll take it a lil easier than Widespread on Halloween, That tired me out for 2 weeks.

can't wait for 12/30 and my first ever New Years show!

let barry wolf off of the chain!

an esteemed zoner was there

insta pix looked pretty

clip of show sounded sloooow

Bobby Night 3: 12/15/23  The Cap

Peggy O    The Winners    1/2 Step    T Jed    Odessa    Ramble On    Anita Miracle    Fever    US

Bobby McGee    Women    Bertha    Cassidy    Wheel    Eyes/What's Goin' On    Stella    NFA    E: GDTRFB

Last nights show is a solid performance excluding Marvin Gayes Whats going on. Someone needs to tell Bob that song doesn't work for him.

The pace is Bobby slow but I have come to terms with this over the years and still enjoy his shows.

Yes Jill I will try and pace myself but that has always been a problem for me. Too much balls to the wall.

See ya in South Florida Bob.

I love the song Artificial Flowers.   Such a sad, twisted song.

Rather hear Dead Flowers for sure.

First of 3 tonight, upper balcony tonight,

Enjoy the BCPA Tim...made my bones in theater and performing arts there in the 90's..ran many a spotlight in that booth that's at the top of that balc...sound is generally good in any seat there.

Do you think we will start right on time at 7:00 p.m. tonight? Was potentially going to shoot up there and try to catch it but if he really starts at 7:00 I'm not going to make it.

To anyone who's actually going tonight I'm think I am going to drive up there last minute from Boca after seeing my dad. Can anybody give me an update as to whether they started or not? Would appreciate it.

So did they start at 7:50? I hope you got there by the time they started, Scott.

Bob sang all the songs and he sounded stellar. The wolf pack is a great addition too.

Solid show last night.

Side note I never showed anyone my tickets. the security is flawed at this venue. Wanna see a show with no tickets? come on in, its a free for all

Go Booby!

Wonder what the missing song was that ends in N - Mission in the rain?

Scott, Did you make it?

So did they start at 7:50?<<<<

Seems like Bobby McGee was a little faster than I would've expected, and liked the texturing of the full ensemble, but miss Kenny Brooks on sax ...

Bobby New Year

Epic

I saw the countdown into Sugar Mags and while I'm never not going to love the song, it was a bit sobering to see Bobby playing this as a countdown. It was easy to see coming (or Around and Around), and I think he's still able to deliver, but it didn't have the same "zip" that it used to in bygone times.   Having said that, I think a less rockin' more jazzy / countryish re-arrangement would've played more to his strong suit these days ... which I think the whole Wolf Pak ensemble totally delivers on this front.  I can't fault him for using the song in this context, but I think it just revealed his age ... whereas if he stuck to more of the Wolf Bros strong suit approach, I think the contrast wouldn't be as apparent.

Glad you had fun Tim.

I went to Sat and Sunday and these shows, while Bobby slow, did not disappoint.  Great song selections, Bobby sounded strong and the band is fantastic.  The venue was surprisingly chill despite the $23 doubles, and yes, you did not need a ticket!  no ticket check to get into the lobby and once there, they had sound and video of the show.  With the lights down, just walk into the theater!  Sat night I made it almost down to the GA  section in front of the stage for the whole second set.  what a treat!  If anybody was showing their age it was me as I could barely make it through set 3 on Sunday night!     New years countdown was 2 minutes early and fun to see the band's family on stage to start the new year

NYE Just Started on GD Radio, no Fla shows on the archive yet.
