Happy Saturday, taperrob, and happy times with the tunes!

Lol still at work 'perhaps in a while, and its a bit later here, have a fun night

What was start time yesterday?

Hi taperrob, i'm a longtime fan from the old Philzone,  though that acct died twenty years ago.  Thanks for sharing so much music over the years, the reason why I lurk these parts for many a year

Thanks taper Rob..

Good evening friends! So glad to be here with you for another evening of music and magic.

Hi TR! *waiving*

Hugs Shakedown!

And why doesn't the bartender have nails?

Hey now Merri :)

huh Rob?

Cause his dog is yellow

Hi Merri

deep elum

Hey Now Merri!

Lovin this so far.

The bartender has no nails because he's always hammered.

is J Row here?

row jimmy row

How can he play Row Jimmy faster than he plays Music Never Stopped w DNC?

I would think it would be wise to ask if the bartender had a hammer. Cant do much with a nail if you don't have a way to pound it in wink

Hi Schwa! Thanks so much for the warm welcome back! Hope you are doing well.

pretty rough this row jimmy. bad call on playing this time.

Lol Schwa... wish I had read your post before I hit enter. Brilliant!

Some gossip from outside the venue, and soundcheck today...   and I never posted these

Phillip Lesh may have something to do with it ...

Phil has the best hair!

Back to Cassidy.  Nice.

Cassidy>touch> Cassidy.....nice

That was great.

See the latest post in the 'Known Streamers' thread in Music Talk. Plz do not repost anywhere else. thx

trey and playing

Love how Phil has sounded this run.

Thanks for checking in from the couch, Taperrob.

When you do stream a show, I usually listen to your stream instead of the illegal webcast bootlegs.

Peace

Heart melting...

Phil looks so happy

This couch is uncomfortable. Me thinks I should be there.

Thanks, Most High, much better for me than another one I was trying.

Yeah, Rob, the couch doesn't quite have the same lively spirit.

So is mine TR. I actually looked at flights to Chicago after last nights shoe. Fantasy, but a girls got to dream!

And then it froze... and now back.

Hi Judit! I hope your evening is going well and you are enjoying the music. Looks like they are having so much fun. It really is a beautiful thing. Ahh... I'm happy

Hi Merri. Yes, I love this music. They are so at ease, and the fun. It's everything you said.

They don't sound like a cover band trying to sound like GD, it's what it is on the natch and that is lovely.

kimock would have been great for this.

Pretty sweet stuff going on.

Hi all.

Much love as always!

Ro-j! Now this is an event. Love.

Dedicated to kimock, but really have grown to dig trey especially after seeing TAB.

Really thought they'd do a tour or two with him after the FTW.

MUCH rather Trey.

J-Ro!

Seriously, this is good stuff!!

This is the best "duo" I've ever seen :)

3 = 2 ?

Ha!  JRo.  Too funny.

Miss your faces Judit and SDST14.

wootothehoo

Standing tall with this effort from the boys!

So happy the music never stopped....

I try not to post negativity.

All good. Exciting show. Nothing but love to post tonight

Happy to say that this hits and exceeds the bar to my eye.

Intertwining strands of instruments abound behind passionate vocals

A bit of a remebering for all involved

This set list is going to look amazing with the multitude of Dark Star verses and everything else that occurred. Go team Bobby and Phil!

This is pretty fuckin great.

Midnight curfew, union rules

Phil took off there for a second.  Holy shit.

This was fantastic. 2nd set really kicked it up!

We are among the luckiest people on earth!

That was really fucking fun and awesome.  Trey was a lovely addition as far as I'm concerned.

Just wow.

Better than all the other stuff.  Super sweet and amazing. So honoring of the musics.  I liked last night better. but loved the Trey tonight.  Loved this all more better than the Dead and Co or some of the Phil and Friends recently.  Anyway, how fucking lucky are we??!!??

You hit the nail on the head Shakedown. I love you phreaks, Thank you for a beautiful evening. Goodnight

I saw this on Facebook (JenG)

That was absolutely absolute.  It wasn't always exactly perfect, but it was real, it was in the moment, fully engaged and dripping with celebrations of why we keep showing up.

Bravo.

How does Bob sound 10 years younger. Seriously, his voice sounds better than it ever did with Furthur.

Phil's voice incredibly strong too

And how did Phil get Bob to play this fast? Hot damn

Thanks for the link Druba,

Have to say I enjoyed last night with just the two of em more but yeah this is fantastic too.

Did I miss the link to first half?

Look like a missed a good one. Glad you all had such a good time.

>>>Midnight curfew, union rules

LOL Well that explains the......viola reprise??? if you can call it that.

I really don't listen to any GD related recordings these days, but I will be reviewing this one.

RCMH!!!

>> LOL Well that explains the......viola reprise??? if you can call it that.

And the 2 minute Ripple

sounds like it was a good one!

Reinventing the music

i liked trey on acoustic, the dark star v1 was cool.

phil should ditch the family bland and put a real band together for a rcmh run.

This sounds great. Thanks for all the links.

Could Phil sell enough tickets at Radio City without Bob?

phil/bob/sless/molo/chimenti/joan

add campbell for extra layers.

Heard the end of set II after I got home last night.  Any of the streamers add this one to their 'showreel' yet ?

^^Hi Stu.....Noodler just posted set 2 a few posts above.  Killer quality^^

Epic night in Grateful Deadlore:

I was planing on leaving Long Island at 4:30pm to get there as the doors open to Radio City at 6:30pm. But my father got really ill around 4pm. He insisted that I go and he would be OK. Made him dinner, fed the dog, got very high and spilt. Two hours of soul searching in traffic and I was in Manhattan.

Stayed on the east side until 51st, Took that for 2 minutes across town and found (free street) parking right next Radio City Hall at 7PM. I'll post about the aesthetics in Concert Review folder.

Great crowd. Essentially the same crew as the Capitol Theater, but without the feety - pajamas.

Bobby vaped some sativa before the show. Had a lot he wanted to say, at his own pace. So suck it. It's his concert. Booby had some wonderful ideas in the first set.

Bobby's new technique is adding perfected subtle riffs to bridge his rhythm and lead playing.  Can not put it any simpler then that.

Intermission would have been more fun if security did not confiscate two joints I brought me.

Set 2 as you sw or read was very good.

I killed 3 birds with this show.  Got to come to peace with Bobby & Phil, as well as seeing Trey for the first time

I made a one our video -best-off from last night; that I will post later here.

The Dark Star and the pizza guy from across the street on percussion, make it worth the price of admission.

Bobby & Phil Radio City Music Hall 03032018 071 resize.jpg

Trey took the show from a B- to an A+.

The "cross-out" after Stephen was The Eleven.

Good to see Phil & Bobby having a fun time together.

the cross out was estimated.

smiley niceness. sweet

im shocked at how good these shows have been. based on my recent experiences i was 99% sure these were going to suck. its still not blowing me away but it is super solid...i think i prefered the music coming from nelson and friends last night but still, this is really great stuff and im hoping for some west coast dates with equally skilled and non family band guests...

Wish Trey had Not been There -- My 2 Cents.

that The Wheel sucked w Trey

Someone who knew the material better woulda been better.

Did they Let Trey Sing?

Duo Means 2 ! not a 3 Up front !!! !! i have liked Wallys subtleness in the backround though

I smell a lawsuit brewing.

As soon as they went electric in the second set it became a PLF show, IMO.

Love Trey, but I kinda want them to stay in deconstructed mode.  He kinda forced them out of it.

Peace.

I watched Friday's show on the YouTubes and went to the show Saturday night.

My old show pal got the tiks, and we were joined by Fafa,

ate at the Pig & Whistle nearby RCMH, desert was a paper w/a drop

met a long list of Zoners at the show, got totally lost in the music after Lazarus was raised from his seat during Eyes

Gave that second set a listen on Sunday and Friday was better musically IMO

However, I am very satisfied with Saturday night from the Speedway West LA beginning to the Ripple encore I have no complaints.

BTW do they serve tea in the Russian Tea Room?
