Bobby's birthday at Sweetwater?

Forums:

I would wager that Bob will do something special at Sweetwater to celebrate his 70th on and around October 16. I wouldn't be surprised if Mayer (who turns 40 that same day) would be one of MANY special guests. I would keep an eye on the Sweetwater event page for mid-October, probably for a few nights.

Its a nice thought but I dont think Mayer will be around to celebrate with Bobby.

John has a Brazilian tour starting in Sao Paulo on Oct. 18.

Yes, a celebration at the Sweetwater would be nice, but Im sure it would be a very expensive ticket.

Fillmore would be a better venue.

Mayer probably didn't book his first tour date until Oct 18 for just that reason. He can jump on a private jet to Brazil with very little effort, trust me. The man has more money than Weir to begin with. And if anything happens for Bobby's birthday, it would be at Sweetwater, not the Fillmore, I can promise you that.

Bob did show up last night for John's show last night in Sacramento.

Just keep an eye on the Sweetwater events page, that's all I can tell you.

Why is San Francisco Airship celebrating Bobby's birthday?

Will there be unadvertised guests at this $17 show?

Nothing booked at the capital theatre....

Sounds fun!!!

Whoever shows up to play, it should be a great time. Have fun at the show!!

I think I may grab two tickets. I need a little R&R.

Could they have picked a worse picture of Bob for that poster?

Looks better in that photo than he does now.

Hey Pride, what happened here? Where is John Mayer?

Who put Rob Eaton on that poster? LOL!

Looks like Weir wants to actually spend his 70th at home with family and friends. But... Sweetwater is still noticeably open on the next two nights, Oct 17 and 18. I would still expect that Weir and guests will do something there for one or both of those nights.

So an Airplane cover band name-drops Weir on a poster to get more meat in the $17 seats?
