The entire 1984 Toyota Small Pickup fleet on Long Island, were a barge of rust by 1990. But helped thousands of small businesses launch with it as a cost effective work horse.

Well deserved loyalty upon its reflection

In 1987 one of major serial killers in our area was caught, while driving one in Farmingdale with a few of his corpses in the back bed.

We are still searching for another (or two) serial killers and any LI cop worth their salt in crime investigation, while on-duty, or not, wil stop and take a long look.

If you are driving a 1984 anything around here, you better be in the right lane and be well bathed...

Plf I thought she bought a used one but she told me today bought new 2007. I think she'll  get another 5 easy

>>>If you are driving a 1984 anything around here, you better be in the right lane and be well bathed.

you lost me at that point. Can you elaborate on why it isn’t safe to drive a car made in 1984 in your area? For real. Is it because of the serial killer???

Totally not New York road worthy in every respect

Unless it has dealer plates, a 38-year old Japanese (non virgin steel vehicle) that was weathered here in the north east; is a complete death trap to all.

If that vehicle crossed the the Throgs Neck Bridge towards Long Island either on to the LIE or Southern State, it would be digitally tracked until Eastern Suffolk County, plates and all.

Bring back the long bed pickups. Goddamn, I so miss my Yoda Toyota.

>>>In 1987 one of major serial killers in our area was caught, while driving one in Farmingdale with a few of his corpses in the back bed.>>>

Are you talking about Joel Rifkin? If so, the year was 1993, the chase ended in Mineola, and there was one body in the bed (the girlfriend of a member of the punk rock band Reagan Youth)...it was a Mazda pickup though, so there's that.

Not far off.

The overhaul should go great, plf.

It is jazfish - i did 3/4  ths of a New Paint scheme today - tomorrow a rim and tire exchange by friday All Dialed In project 1984 ~~~~~ 4 Runner.

Cool, Plf.  This afternoon I am test driving an 84 Cutlass Supreme Brougham  44 grand original miles owned by my buddies Mom. Original owner. My buddy put it in the shop just a couple of thousand miles ago and had every thing fixed and updated. He put almost three grand int it.

Bet this car is like riding on a cloud.

I just picked up a 2011 Ford F-150 4WD regular cab 8' long bed with only 45,000 miles on it. $13,200. Well-maintained county truck (serviced every 4,000 miles). Mosquito abatement truck run only during the summer and parked in a heated garage in winter. I'll drop a shell on it and do a carpet kit and be back in business. A little too big for my liking but it's what was out there.

Truck Is Done ! I Have Finally Retired Anything Wrenching Anything ! My Back and Body Are Completely Taxed.
