Bought milk in California lately? You can file a claim for cash back

http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/milk-class-action-claim-California-da...

If you've purchased milk in California at any time from 2003 to the present day, you could be owed money from the National Milk Producers Federation.

As part of an antitrust lawsuit settlement, the National Milk Producers Federation agreed to pay consumers as part of a class action settlement. The settlement is for $52 million total; individuals may receive between $5 and $20.

The antitrust suit alleged that Cooperatives Working Together, Dairy Farmers of America, Inc., Land O'Lakes, Inc., Dairylea Cooperative Inc., and Agri-Mark, Inc., conspired to "limit the production of raw farm milk by prematurely slaughtering cows, in order to illegally increase the price of milk and other fresh milk products."

"The defendants deny any wrongdoing or liability for the claims alleged," the settlement reads.

You're running out of time to make a claim, however. To get a cash payment, you'll need to file your claim online by Jan. 31.

Cool. Thanks, Dan.

I ordered a few Triple Venti Lattes while visiting California last year.  They contained milk.  Can I get in on the action?

Moo-ney.  It's a crime.

You had to have lived in one of 17 states since 2003.(I forget which ones) You don't need receipts. it's on the honor system, just like the dairy industry when they sell you on their product being healthy.

Bump.  File by Jan 31st to get a little cash.
