So late last night, I awoke to the distinctive sound of a Very Large tree limb crashing Earthwards, with a slight hint of Metal contact. If you've ever heard those sounds, you'll understand the trepidation they inspire.
I briefly considered getting out of bed to investigate, but it was raining a whole bunch. So why bother ?
This AM I discovered that a Dead Hickory of decent Girth had dropped another Limb, on the Eastern side of the shack. It obviously had some sort of Vendetta against Mr/s. Wheelbarrow, as the poor thing is laying upon its side with a Huge dent.
It's possible we can rebuild, but I'll probably have to form a 'GoofundMe' or 'Kickstarter' foundation. Of course, Wheelbarrow is devastated.
On the positive side, there is a nice batch of Dead Hickory to cut up right near the driveway (easy access). The BBQ folks and Axe-handle enthusiasts love that Stuff.
