Brian Lesh

Forums:

Was watching a show from TXR  last night - young Stu Allen, Headband, Alex Koford & Brian Lesh.

Do not recall reading about a backstory of Brian's exit from the public side of Phil's world.

I recall being at a Nokia show and Phil had Brian's baby Levon crawling around the stage on a rug (noise dampening headphones on).

and then .... Brian was gone. Did he decide to just be a Dad?

Rumor I heard was Phil told him to focus on parenting - wasn't Brian's choice, but probably more to the story..

Hmmmm.....

Brian's exit from the public side of Phil's world.<<<

Yet, we all remember his entrance very well  ...

The first time I saw the Lesh Brothers  they were playing with Maiden Lane on the small stage of Furthur Festival at Mountain Aire. Phil joined the band on stage.

I remember some of the items on the Terrapin Crossroads brunch menu ~

Jill's Chill

Phil's Scramble

Brian's Grilled Cheese

I don't recall Grahame having a dish named after him on the menu.

FOM .... that clip melts me every time.

So, Roarshock .... Brian got a cheese sandwich and Grahame got a gig!

small stage of Further Fest at Mountain Aire<<<<

I also remember that very well ... especially just kinda lounging around during the day and getting to get that close.  Here's a clip I took of Cortez the Killer:

The other big things I remember from that fest:

- making my way up through the fog (not sure if it was artificial or not) near the buildings at the top after the show ... to stumble into an indoor Bob-Tuna after show that I was surprised to see.  Phil did one too.

- being soooo upset they were going to play "albums", but being soooooo happy they did after it was said and done!

- coming back to my tent to learn from my neighbor (Kermit) that someone used a knife on themselves during the show (bad scene)

- being kept awake all night from boom boxes turned up to 11

FOM .... that clip melts me every time<<<

Yep, same here!
