Can someone read /summarize this article?

Forums:

I've used up my free read on Wired.  Then I saw this article that the Internet Archive is in danger:

The Internet Archive’s Fight to Save Itself     Sep 27, 2024 6:00 AM

Perhaps someone out there can access it or has a subscription.

Alan, did you try getting to it via the Wayback Machine?

If that doesn't work, I'll copy it and email it to you.

Basically - and ironically - , the Wayback Machine, and the Internet Archive itself, are in danger from entities like Wired (nothing against them in particular) who want to be able to continue to monetize all instances of someone accessing their content.

^ Thanks Surf -- Whatever happened to the concept of a public library? Retail stores still had (many of) the same books for sale. Great civilizations always maintained a library.

Mike thanks I'll let you know.
