Question folks.  What is the hotel to stay at for a show there?

Multiple options dependent upon $$$$

Have personally stayed at the following over the years:

Hyatt House, White Plains (reason: stay here when we have a bunch of us and we pile into their "2 BR Trio". great space to hang with posse who come from various places. great free breakfast. 10 minutes to gig. Have met many band members there over the years).

LaQuinta, Stamford, CT (reason: stay here simply for low cost deal. little farther away, but not bad. their breakfast blows, but it is attached to a classic diner which is huge).

Various VRBO or AirBnb's, usually go this route for multiple nights and big posse (e.g. JRAD in January).

Others

Folks talk up the Hilton (a.k.a. "Philton"). Probably 5-10 minutes away. Believe they have a shuttle. Have never stayed here.

Not on my top list of venues.

is this Widespread-related?

Yes WSP.. Im going. My first time at the Cap.  Hope to see some Zoners in attendance.

Courtyard Marriott. 5 minute taxi, Uber.

Lots of great restaurants in the area.

The Hilton in rye and it's about to sell out on the night of the gd74 Dewey decibel shows with Jason Crosby

What show are going to

Awesome B, we favor the hyatt house...they have kitchens and 2 bedroom suites. Get with Bob if you want to split a room, we are doing ALL 6 shows, you are always welcome...you know that :)

Hilton all the way.

Had many good times at the Hilton but it's loud(walls are paper thin) and the maze to get to your room is cool the first couple times while dosed but not so much when you need to bring bags out after a couple day stay.  I'm not looking to cook or cheap out on a cramped space.

Philton is the first choice.

Courtyard Rye second choice.

Have seen about 30 shows there, fantastic venue and both hotels cater to show-going people, especially the Philton!!

I have stayed at most hotels listed here.

The Marriott in Rye is a short walk, I do dig the Hilton but the prices are getting high lately.

I did stay at this hotel for the last run and for the money can't be beat, but you will need to drive back and that blew

LaQuinta, Stamford, CT (reason: stay here simply for low cost deal. little farther away, but not bad. their breakfast blows, but it is attached to a classic diner which is huge).

As do the local restaurants and cabs.  Pretty cool to jump into a taxi with a '71 Cap show playing.  Of course it's not a perfect venue but I'd be damned to find a better place in the NYC area.

Definitely the Westchester Hilton (Philton).

They do have a shuttle from HPN (White Plains airport) to the hotel, as well as from the hotel into Port Chester... and they will drop you off within a block of the theater. For some reason, they don't like everyone to say too loudly that it's a "show shuttle" too loudly because there are non-show guests.

The staff there are super cool. We appreciate the indoor and outdoor pools and the walking trail through the forest, too. There are even indoor tennis courts! Lots of places to get lost. Patio rooms are fun to get during good-weather shows.

The Stamford Sheraton is a wonderful venue,  a 10 min drive.  I stay there every time I go to the Cap.  The folks at this property "leave you alone."  That alone is worth the 10-min drive.
