*** Celebrate our Interdependence! ***

We can help each other through these times. We need to stand with each other and for each other.
Love.

In our American exuberance to blow things up to celebrate our country, let's try not to burn down any houses.

Go for it America. It is your big day.

Time for the Dosey Doses

In 1987 the Grateful Dead played 6 shows with Bob Dylan.
The tour opened on July 4th at Schaefer Stadium in Foxboro Ma.
The Bob Dylan GD portion of the show opened with the song below.
This song is mistakenly identified as being played Giants Stadium.
Truth be told, this song was only played once, and that was at Foxboro on July 4th.

And Happy Birthday Ron Kovic, "Born on the Fourth of July."

^^ dave...dylan opened w song during set in Foxboro, but it is not mislabeled, nor an only time played on that tour...he did indeed play it again 8 days later at Giants Stadium, after Watchtower to close set...encore was touch of grey and knockin on Heavens Door...

I was at both these shows, and although alot of its blurry, i remembered hearing it twice (of the 3 I went to), and confirmed it when i checked Deadbase...

The highlight for me of Giants Staduim was Jerry on Pedal Steel for Bob s only performance of Tomorrow is a Long Time, (jerry also played pedal on Baby Tonite at Foxboro, and JFK shows...other highlites...Bob doing  Highway 61 at Giants Stadium, and John Brown at all 3, but a breakout w it at Foxboro etc....i do remember thinking those shows were all kind of a clusterfuck at the time, the shows were only so so etc...they had sound issues w Bob, or Bob w the whole sysyem, but, look back on them now w fond memories, and glad i went etc. Still wish i went to Pa and Virginia showz w just the Dead midweek between the weekend Dylan and the Dead stadium shows though)

Happy 4th to ALL!

^ he did indeed play it again 8 days later at Giants Stadium
