CFP Championship

Forums:

Should be a good game tonight (4:30 p.m. Pacific Time).  Battle of the last of the undefeateds, the Michigan Wolverines and the Washington Huskies.  The SEC is sidelined as the Huskies represent the PAC-12 for the last time before joining Michigan in the Big Ten next year (along with Oregon, UCLA, and USC--the realignment and implosion of the PAC-12 sucks).

As they were in the Pac-12 Championship  Game against Oregon and rhe CFP Semifinal versus Texas the Huskies are the underdogs again, but I wouldn't bet against them.  Michael Penix is an elite QB, with phenomenal accuracy, and is cool and collected under pressure.  He's a proven winner, and should have won the Heisman over the 3-loss guy from LSU.   Oddly, Penix isn't even rated in the top 3 QB picks in the NFL Draft.  Some NFL team is going to be very lucky to get him.  His top target, Rome Odunze, will likely be the first or second Wide Receiver drafted.

Kalen DeBoer has done an incredible job since becoming the Huskies Head coach last year.  The other guy, Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh, got suspended for cheating this year.  Even more reason to root for the Underdawgs.

Heading out to watch the game with my brother-in-law and nephew (who are both UW alumni) at my sister's, and will hopefully return to Seattile's U-District tonight to a victory celebration.

Huskies had a pretty good season this year, no doubt

GO MICHIGAN!

go Dawgs!

Go Huskies!!!!!!!

My neighbor Sparky bleeds blue when cut, he is from the upper peninsula.

Big host to any party and his Michigan blow out will be one for the ages.

Shut up and eat!!

Muck Fichigan, Fuck Harbaugh, he will be the Chargers coach next year and will never be penalized for the cheating.

go huskies, taking the points and taking the under 56 points

Penix is a Florida Boy that somehow got missed by my gators, no wonder why the program is now in the toilet

I am pretty much baseball only these days, but I did catch both the preliminary games and both were most excellent.  It helped that the teams I was rooting for both won, although I thought the Huskies were gonna give it away at the end.

Recording tonight's game and am looking forward to a Huskies victory.

Anyone remember Sonny Sixkiller at UW? Exciting is what I remember from my 10 year old self.

My Father grew up and was a good friend of Don James, the great UW coach of the mid 70's to 90's. Also coached my Kent State Golden Flashes

Congratulations to the Michigan Wolverines.  The Huskies has some tough luck with injuries and a few blown calls, but the Wolverines played better, made some crucial plays and deserved to win.

I've heard about Sonny Sixkiller, but never saw him play.  One of the all-time great Sports names.

It was cool to see the Huskies bring Steve Emtman out as an honorary captain for the coin toss to represent for the '91 champs.  Hopefully, UW won't have to wait another 33 years for another title shot.

Huskies just needed to catch the balls that hit their hands or penix hit the open guy.  They were their own worst enemy.

I hate OSU so much that I'm happy Michigan won.   We will see what Harbaugh does next.   The cheating stuff doesn't bother me.  They all do it and what's legal versus illegal is goofy.

now just imagine growing up with a last name like penix

there's a kid who knows how to deal with adversity
