Need an inspiring distraction from all the noise ?

This is really great stuff. Well worth the watch no matter what persuasion you are. Especially uplifting to the women in my life, my wife and daughters. May do the same for you.

you start the worst threads.

just saying.

That very well may be brother pyro, but I've never been afraid to open a door.

You're afraid to let us know who you are.

The opening scroll says it is "based on the true stories of the gospels of Jesus Christ. Some locations and timelines have been combined or condensed and backstories and some characters or dialogue have been added. However, all biblical and historical context and any artistic imagination are designed to support the truth and intention of the Scriptures."

i'm not your brother.

you're afraid to open the hip hop door......we all know why.

Yeah surf it's unique in the sence that they combine Old T + New T in one flowing easy to follow narrative. With actors that resemble us involved in situations we can more easily comprehend. I was never a bible reader, too fucking tough to put it together in a way I could understand. Old Torah prophecies fulfilled in the New T, all that stuff was too hard to put together.  This show does it well. No religious experiences necessary, but it sure helps.

I've been watching Mindhunters on Netflix and it's been fascinating. Not sensationalizing serial killers but examines the psychology and the origins of profiling.

They're filming part 2 now, should be ready to view around Easter. I really think many here would enjoy this.

Fuck, this is the Greatest Story Ever Told.

Cool read -

As a young adult, I got lost for several years in the hippy lifestyle (including the drug use part). I travelled cross-country following the band from show to show. The community was like none I’ve experienced since. The traveling kaleidoscope of clowns was family — a home on the road.

I went to dozens and dozens of shows, became more and more lost in the mysticism and mythology and mis-application of truths and nearly lost my physical and mental health in the melee.

On my journey in 1985, I met Ken Kesey.  A year later, I met someone even more famous than Kesey. At a show in March of 1986, I met Jesus. My life forever changed, though the music has remained the soundtrack of it. The accoutrements of drugs and touring, I left behind. They aren’t necessary. They really never were. The music itself is a healing gift. One I’m Grateful to God to still enjoy.

Listening To The Grateful Dead Will Teach You All You Need To Know | by Greg Proffit | Jul, 2021 | Rock n’Heavy

Just more religious propaganda.

But, whatever floats your boat.

Relating the deads music, which talks a lot about God,  to his personal epiphany is propaganda ? Alrighy then.

I'm sure many deadheads have come to the same awakening on tour,  but obviously not you.

Pete Townshend nailed it,, its called Faith In Something Bigger.

Absolutely, whatever floats yer boat dude.

Like I was saying, Dead music and Faith In Something Bigger -

Phil is not the only one to relate the experience to religion. Jerry Garcia, the lead guitarist, has said, "I think consciousness has a place in the cosmic game, the atoms-and-universe game, the big game. I can’t imagine that it’s mindless--there’s too much organization, and the organization is too incredible. It has that huge, vast wisdom." He has also said, "My idea is basically that the operating system [of life] is more wise than what we are able to stick into our consciousness."

In other words, there is something larger than our own ego at work in the universe. This is the very stuff of religious faith. Robert Hunter, a lyricist for the band, has said of faith, "Faith? Well actually I kind of tacitly believe, without spending much time explaining it to myself or others. [...] I'm certain there's something bigger than my brain and my ego going on. I kind of take that for granted, how could it be otherwise? I'd love to believe I'm working in concert with whatever that is." (Hunter’s online journal for July 30, 2006)

The whole read, pretty cool stuff, lots of band members quotes - but like most cool shit, very subjective

Knowledge Is Knowing

Speaking without first investigating is speaking out of ignorance, and that ain't bliss buddy.

I guarantee, anyone who watches this stuff will enjoy it. Especially zoners who instinctively have open minds, well most of ya's,, Lol some of ya's.

You're preaching.

Not for me, but whatever gets you through the night.

How do you know mike ?  Have you taken the time to check it out ?  I hope you aren't misinterpreting what this is and going on that. This stuff has nothing at all to do with the catholic church,, it's miles away from the twisted bullshit the church is. It's much cooler, much deeper. You got a good piece of what it is inside of you whether you care to admit it or not,, as many zoners do. Goodness without being judgmental. Well you're pretty judgmental, but you can work on that.

I just checked this vid out today, and didn't quite have the fan experience the actor John had, but I've had similar experiences in helping someone in need of love and understanding at a strategic time in their life. I'm sure you've all had similar experiences to some degree. To me that's all the msg in the chosen is. Not everybody needs a connection to faith, but for those that do, we all can be it, and many times are it. Doing our best to others to get thru this fucking thing called life.

Dude, your most recent post is riddled with contradictions. If you're going to proselytize, you should work on that.

Namaste.

If you identify with any group that thinks it knows the mind of god and/or thinks that the group is somehow chosen or favored by God, that is a fucked up group.
