neither song sound like GD songs but a careful ear can pick out similarities, particularly in the case of Phil Lesh and John Wettons approach to bass playing ca 1973-4.... and I think that Topographic Oceans has a structure that is straight out of the Anthem of the Sun playbook as far as an approach to album making is concerned. I even hear the Thick Air Weir was looking for. Again, very different sounding but I think there are distinct aspects that are on the money
