I highly recommend the 8/20 show of Fantastic Cat. They are currently recording their second album and have a string of sold out dates this summer. Lots of buzz happening for them.
I agree that free is good, but it seems that non-residents have a $10 per person/$25 per family walk in fee to access the beach park as well as a $ 50 parking fee. It always pays to read the fine print. That being said, I have a feeling I will be at this one.
