Metal blades included with food processors sold between 1999 and 2015 have been recalled.

Only those models with metal blades using rivets have been recalled.

Stay safe VLZ. wink

I Got a Breville, no worries

My Regal La machine 1 V 813 is considered vintage, i guess it is, probably had it for almost 30 yrs and its still rocking, one tuna salad, amongst other things,  at a time

Think of how many Cuisinart's were purchased as gifts already... can cause a problem as blades break off, not a big fan of food processors, but I own one, knives work fine

I worked for Jimmy John's in the 1990s and ran a meat slicer daily. The worst part was cutting roast beef. The blood flows off

that sliced meat like a river. I still have a hard time eating toast beef to this day thinking of this.

*toke*

Hmmm. Toast....remember

I have one of the first Cuisinart food processors, from sometime around 1975. The handle to the bowl broke, so I replaced it, but other than that, it works perfectly. I love that old machine.

I have a Sunbeam MixMaster stand mixer from approx. 1949 (year I was born) that was my mom's with all of the attachments. I have a back up, too, that I got at a garage sale. The old ones were so well made.

Kitchen aid mixer is a great addition  if you bake alot.... theres a joke in there somewhere

We have one with the four rivets, will be sending in for a new part. Looks like their web site is down

Good Luck, we use ours all the time along with a Kitchen Aid Mixer

Made in China!  When are we going to address China terrorism?

Love my nutra-bullet

I use mine once every 6 years....I'll keep it.

My parents got one as a wedding gift in '69. I adopted it in the early 90's. Still in the box, never used.  Even if it fails tomorrow I still got over 25 years of use out of it.

I have one of these but never have used this blade. I use everything but mostly to cut cucumbers and mushrooms and to shred sweet potatoes so I can make sweet potato hash browns..I tried to call but the number was busy. Il deal with it sometime.

Update:

We called and the new blade is on it's way. That is how easy it is. They didn't say how long but we have a email conformation from the company.

Thanks for the info. My new blade is on the way.
