CURVEBALL

Finally announced!

http://phish.com/

“Children ages 5 and under are free, as are adults ages 5 and under.”

I'm planning on it!

Conflicts w/ Dead & Co in Wyoming, ha ha

http://www.jhnewsandguide.com/jackson_hole_daily/local/will-dead-deal-go-down/article_2298f830-498a-576e-baf1-ffba82cf8877.html

If Wyoming comes true, it aligns nicely w/ 2 JRAD Oregon shows > JRAD Redrocks > Dead&Co Wyoming.

Crazy summer! I'm going to be in Eugene 3-4 times.

So it's a 1 band festival huh,?

That used to be just called a show or a run of shows.

Why no "number"?!?!!!

I read some of the info.  No Fireworks,  but it doesn't say 'No Dogs'  so that means I can bring Hüsky.

$250 GA with camping is pretty reasonable,  but nowhere can I find how much is the "vehicle fee" to park the car.

They do spell out the RV fee scale quite clearly.

GENERAL ADMISSION WEEKEND PASS

This gives you access to all three days of Curveball and GA campgrounds. If you are bringing a vehicle you must also purchase a vehicle camping pass (1 per car or RV). If you are bringing Terry, you must also purchase snacks or he’ll never shut up about it.

$250 + FEES

CAR CAMPING (PER CAR)
$60.00 + FEES (THURSDAY ARRIVAL) / $80.00 + FEES (WEDNESDAY ARRIVAL)

RV CAMPING  (PER RV)
$200.00 (THURSDAY ARRIVAL) / $220.00 (WEDNESDAY ARRIVAL)

GOT ANOTHER QUESTION?

If we missed something, or if you’re just lonely, send us an email at [email protected].

3 day pass for Gorge is $200 + fees. I guess they play a bit more at these festival thingies.

If my vehicle is a motorcycle, how much is camping (Thursday arrival)?

>>>>3 day pass for Gorge is $200 + fees. I guess they play a bit more at these festival thingies.

In addition to a lengthy soundcheck on Thursday if you arrive early, you will get two sets on Friday, four sets on Saturday (one being the late night), and two sets on Sunday.

What you don't get at a regular run such as the Gorge, is all of the interactive installation stuff and goings on during the festival run.

RobW gets IT

:)

see you freaks there for the SOUNDCHECK

that looks pretty awesome!!! but school will be back in already.. :-(  I am though seriously considering hitting that Atlanta run ~already have a place to stay and tickets if I want ém... will anyone be there???

great to hear. there is a lot of chatter out there that Front Gate tickets has screwed up many orders so it’s good to hear some success stories.

I have 4  Ticket/Wristbands  in my possession.

We cannot make it.

Will let go for Face ($250)

We'll eat the fees.

Free Priority Mail with Tracking.

All 4 wristbands sold.^^^

Curveball is officially sold out.

Coming in hot!

I tried to negotiate a reduced price for a motorcycle, as opposed to a car or an RV.  This was the email exchange...all they came back with was “motorcycles are vehicles”.  Whoever is running that part of Curveball has no sense of justice, or humor.

Read from the bottom up...

Thanks for the reply!

Agreed, of course it is a vehicle.  So are cars and RV.

Car = $60
RV = $200

I propose motorcycle = $30

Yes?

Sincerely,

Hello,

I see that those who are going to Curveball in a cage (car) have to pay $60 for camping (Thursday arrival).

If I ride my motorcycle which is much smaller than a car and has half the number of wheels, do I pay half the price of a cage?

I am fairly certain that it is written in the often overlooked appendix of the Helping Friendly Book, “Motorcycles should be considered like half a car.  They are way more fun.”

Going to be wetter than a mofo up there at the glen. Been raining for days and major flooding happening as I write this. The good news is you may see the sun the next 2 days and over the weekend. The ground is saturated with all the rain. Leave your good shoes at home and have fun.

Update from the official site:

Greetings from the lovely village of Watkins Glen, New York as we put the finishing touches on Curveball, Phish’s 11th festival. We’re not gonna lie: it’s a little moist here, as a decent amount of rain has fallen over the past few weeks. While the forecast looks positive for the next few days, there is still a possibility for more precipitation over the weekend. With that in mind, here are a few bits of advice:

Bring appropriate rain gear! Boots, tarps, sealable bags, towels and possibly an extra sock or two — we suggest picking up any extra supplies well before you get to central New York as they may be limited in the area surrounding Watkins Glen.

Be prepared when you arrive: have your wristbands on, have your parking sticker applied to the lower driver’s side of the windshield, and please be patient and pay attention to the parking staff as they carefully work to park your vehicle.

As a reminder: If you have a Thursday arrival pass, please do not come earlier than 12 noon on Thursday or you will be turned away. Curveball tickets and camping/RV passes are completely sold out.

Now, with that out of the way, on to the good stuff. In addition to previous announcements including The Bunny, The LOOP Game Show Tent, and the JEMP Records Store, here’s a further sneak peek of what we have in store here at the ‘Ball.

LAWN ARTS

We’ve been lucky to work with some great artists at every Phish festival and we are honored to welcome friends old and new to Curveball. Get lost in Lee Anderson’s aMAZEment park. Dodge the raindrops from Torin Porter’s torrent of a rain cloud. Visit Abby Manock’s world of geometrical piñatas and return often to see how they congeal into something enticingly whackable. How can something square become so delightfully curvaceous? Observe Michael Nedell’s parabolic production and behold the bending. Randy Gaetano looked to the trees to make his monumental weaving of wood. Pneuhouse’s pneumatic color clusters can be found here and there. Stand still long enough and you’re bound to run into Phinneus Sonin and his merry band of motley pranksters. Either that or they’ll run into you! Wander the valleys of Lars Fisk’s 27 Peaks and check the caves if you’re looking for shade.

ALSO: Beware the Mime Field!

And the best part...because I am always ready for a Heady...

Beers Of The World is back at Curveball and will be the place to fill your tank with The Alchemist’s famed Heady Topper, Lawson’s Sip Of Sunshine, Lost Nation’s Mosaic IPA, Peak Organic Brewing Co’s Sweet Tarts and many more.
