Dave's Pick Vol 40 7-18 & 19-90

I was

I was there too and this was one of the very best 2-show runs I ever saw, neck in neck with Hamilton '90. Great Stuff!

I attended every Deer Creek show except the final one in 1995. (Got married to Ice Blue Rose on 7/3/95. The date of the canceled show.)

Looking forward to this release!

I was not at Deer Creek, but caught them in Tinley Park for Brent's last shows a few days later.

This might be heresy, but I found it hard to get excited about GD music in the 1990s, and even less so today. For me, the whole thing had become kind of perfunctory by then. It  was like going to the county fair every year; you went even if you really didn't want to.

To atone for my sins here, I'll offer up my copy of DP Volume 40 here to the first zoner who posts they want it.

Count me in!

I will take it!

Damn.

Enjoy the shit out of that, Leper!!

Mike I have to agree with you to a certain extent. There were a few shows that were exemplary like Giants Stadium and a couple of MSG shows but otherwise not much to write home about. Not a huge fan of the 80's either but at least early 80's certainly had better pickings.I would much rather they release 60's and 70's stuff cause for me that's where it was at. I would certainly prefer remastered  Pig stuff or anything between 69 -74.

Leper, email me your mailing info. My email is in my profile.

Strawbud, I'll rip it to lossless before I send it out if you'd like a copy.

Hey Mike, thanks for the offer!

I can send you $ for postage when you're ready to ship.

Do you still have my address from the button giveaway?

I would most certainly LOVE that! Thanks Mike!!

EMOTW

Thanks, Leper, but postage is on me too. I want to make sure that my atonement remains pure. And no, I didn't save addresses from the button thingy.

Strawbud, we can figure out how to get you the FLACs. Maybe over some Giordano's down in the Valley one of these days.

That sounds fantastic as well.....but I do believe that Gino's East is MUCH closer. LOL. I'll be looking forward to it.

Doh! My long-time-no-C(hicago) is showing.

Did both of these.

Great shows and high times. The band having tons of fun and it comes through in the music.

Campground was lunacy.

Was there. They were two very solid shows. Cool that they're finally releasing them.

Don't think you could ask for a better first set than on 7-18.

I went to Buffalo right before these; also a strong show.

Went back to NY, took a deep breath, and drove to CA in time for the JGB show at the Greek.

As Fun as times could get in 1990 GD world....

I'm excited for some new material.   I get that it's harder to find older shows of a certain quality compared to the 90's or 80's but I'm ready for something other than 73-74.     There are some great shows in the later eras and now that it's 20-30 years past, maybe we will start seeing a bit more.

Just got notification that DP 40 shipped.  Was at both these shows, looking forward to listening.
