Image looks like Dallas in July.

Zac Brown Band concert if I had to guess.

Lol, Jaz, i thought it looked just like the hill in Hartford....August...;)

Oh      no

not AGAIN....( groan)

Correction.... that pic is obviously from a Dark Star Orch show after some unsuspecting fans got inadvertently dosed by a bad patch of DMT-laced pretzels. (Is that lady in the white dress puking?) Thankfully, there are a dozen Event Security staff steadfastly watching over the victims.

Woman in foreground looks like she got a bad batch of Miller Lite.

Oh, and the short haired guy in the white polo shirt and mom jeans is definitely local law enforcement -- the taser on his belt (disguised as a large, retro cell phone) gives him away -- so do not fret for these cosmic voyagers, the situation is under control.

I used to be a supporter. Thought it was good fun and enjoyed the crowds, but after last years shows I’m going to take a pass. It felt like last year they started taking themselves seriously. I read a quote where Bobby said last year on stage he had a moment where he saw 20 years in the future and Mayer and Oteil were grey and him and drummers were replaced by young guys and they were still playing as Dead & Co.  This band was good as a fun romp to dance with friends in some summer sheds but not anything more than that.

It also felt like it got even slower, and I got it in my head that this was Bobby’s response to the rise in popularity of JRAD. I know that complaining about tempo at this point is about as helpful as complaining about fog in SF, but when my casual dead music friends start commenting it is getting worse. I have no ill will toward Bobby on this. It’s his band and he has more knowledge of these songs in his little finger than I will ever have, it’s just not a journey I want to take.

It could also be that I’m just bitter about the return of Corina.

I am very psyched about this. I like these guys and last year i thought both Shoreline & Boulder were both a lot of fun and the music was good. What more can I ask for? Yippee!!!!

...and Jaz, my friend.... how do you guess Dallas at the end of summer? I think you should come over and binge watch Sherlock or Elementary with me.

There are no boots pictured in this candid snapshot, (and the crowd is multi-racial) so that probably rules Texas out (ok, maybe it's Austin -- all the beer cans are smashed, which indicates a degree of social /eco consciousness).

Notice those folks have brand new pink sunburns.. by August, the fallen lady would have pronounced tan lines / strap marks.

I'm thinking spring/ early summer when the rookies are tasting their first pretzels of the season.

By skipping Portland and Seattle, looks like those dudes could get the Gorge somewhat full.  Phish played the Gorge last summer and they usually skip a year, so going to see Bob & Co. up there to get a Gorge trip in this summer might just might be in the stars.

Some of their shows last year sounded excellent.  Eugene and the Boulder shows specifically.

The Gorge on a nice day is hard to beat.  With a camping night thrown in, the circus will be in town.  Will probably wait until the weather picture is a little more clear, but if it's sunny and in the 70's-80's, I'll most likely be there.

>>>>Woman in foreground looks like she got a bad batch of Miller Lite.

Actually she's listening to a enhanced audio of the show... its a little known fact that if you have shitty lawn seats you can boost the audio levels by putting your ear to a cooler, kinda like hearing the ocean when you put a shell to your ear....

The Voice of the Cooler.

"Feed me!!!"

1st night shoreline last year was pretty hot.

really wish they were returning to Autzen,

but at least with two nights at the gorge it’s almost worth the drive,

and with no other northwest shows at all they might fill the place up a bit.

looks like shoreline>gorge for me...

Atlanta> Dallas> Boulder?

That photo could have been taken at any country show that has happened in the past 20 years.

Or just about any GD type show that has happened in the past 25 years.

If there was a young child in tie-dye playing around that passed out woman I would say GD type show for sure, otherwise it's a tossup.

(No pun intended)
