This was the first show I ever had the tapes of in my hands by monday morning, my third or fourth Phish, but my first "epic" show of any kind. Mind melting v1 Phish opened for Carlos Santana.

I have only been able to tune
I have only been able to tune in to a few songs each show. I listened to the Cold Rain> Stranger and yes it was slow tempo but still of good old Grateful Dead-like. The band and Bobby sound good and JM interpretation of leads are at times excellent. I am not doing cartwheels of excitement but I am digging it. Wish I was at the shows. As tour goes on, like in the past, tempo will surely pick up. Its there shtick. Black licorice and all.
