Eyes

I just missed the middle of Eyes because I had to take a shower.  They played a great version at Citi Field last summer.  I like this one too.

Missed the Stephen yesterday and the DS, Deal and Eyes tonight. crying Way to roll.

Because sometimes Eyes makes you feel sooo dirty!

LOL!  Yes, I can't listen to Eyes without at least flossing.

I'm enjoying this stream!

Extremely laid back first set.....and I missed all up to the Uncle Johns and that to was very laid back.  At least everything  is  being played well. Was the DS and Eyes also as laid back?

Yeah, the first set was laid back.  When they started Dancin' at that tempo I thought "It's going to take half an hour to get through this song at that pace", but then I remembered it's the Dead, so that's expected anyway.  I only half heard DS, but it sounded good to me.

Extremely laid back is a nice way to put that first set.

Im sorry, I thought it was just bad, period! Slow tempos and jams that went no where.

I went to both MSG shows and enjoyed them, but after listening to this first set, I could not listen anymore.

It was laid back but in person I was calling it groovin. Thumpin. Funky. They really were enthusiastic. "Philadelphia P.A." to open.  Everybody in the band having fun all night. Nearly full house. Everyone in crowd on their feet. They put on a good one for the Philadelphia loyal.  Heads of all generations having fun. Bob rowing on Jimmy, He looked good and was singing strong. Even sang "Philly Fillies know what to do" on minglewood. Mayer impresses me more every time i see him. He is always listening to the band and contributes greatly. His solos on Ramble and Row were soulful. He respects the music for sure. Oteil doesn't get enough credit. Jeff C. was crushing and got applause for all his solos.  Drums was weird, everyone left stage, then Mayer wanted more and they came out to riff on eyes again. They left and  Mickey broke out "the Beam" and then drum/space was done. Real short. Mickey had a little melty after they cut the drums section short- looking all pissy- all on camera.  But he really contributed a lot last night. Kinda funny. Overall it was a very solid show with some real highlights.Including the Dark one. I'd listen to that again! . I guess they have been at it awhile now and the groupthink is working. I think that was the first Muddy I have heard in years and Mayer sang it well. So this makes twice where I had to be coerced to go to D&C and ended up having great fun. I'd recommend going if you have the loot. There were extras to be had for cheap. Fucking prices blow but worth it for one show.  Great music. The three. Something special still there.

yeah yeah, review section sorry.

Fly be fly. Nice review.

Rumors are Mickey's been having problems with the "Beam" not working last 2 shows

I was seated sort of behind and above Mickey (in a commentator's booth!) at MSG the second night and it seemed like it wasn't working for a few seconds.  Somehow we all made it through the show anyway.

Dead Co sounding fantastic in Boston! Set is fabulous so far. Mayer sounds awesome.

The Music Never Stopping, but moving very slowly.  It's kind of torture, but it does sound great.

sugaree before music was pretty hot, if i dont say...

Ugh.  Should be Poor Prudence.

Nice guitar interplay on Dancin', tho.

No comparison.
