The show looks packed. I went online before it started and they put you on a waiting list.

Fuckin' bastards, you'd think for last show of tour they would give you more video or the whole show for free.

Who's that chick always front and center wearing the sailor hat? And what happened to Super Mario? And Rockstar Richard!

Satellite TV here lost the connection for weather reasons. Raining hard now in N. Central Jersey. I suspect it will have an impact on the show.

The wolfman's audio stream is once again excellent.  I'm not missing seeing video at all as I've had my eyes closed for most of this and just concentrating on the sounds. I have to say this band is a force to  be reckoned with. I don't know if they have always been this good and had their own sound, but they sure do now.

Obviously the foundation is Grateful Dead, but the above ground structure is quite simply Dead and Company. It is new and different, and to my ears thoroughly enjoyable. Notes fly off of Mayer's guitar similar to how they flew off of Jerry's and in neither case are they throw away notes; as is often the case with so many guitarists. The overall sound of Dead and Co. just sounds much more crunchy to me than the Grateful Dead. And folks that say this is just a Grateful Dead cover band, I strongly disagree with. How can a Bob Weir band be a Grateful Dead cover band?

This second set should be a good one. I'd say since Jerry's passing the the Q and this present Dead and Co. are the two standout continuations of the Grateful Dead vibe.  Furthur was never close to either, although they did fly on occasion. And when I say Dead and Co. I mean as they are playing on this summer tour. I can't believe they always were this good, but i wouldn't know as I hadn't listened to them in depth until this summer tour.  Listened just a little last summer and was impressed enough to tune back in this summer. Bob has progressed immensely with his vocals in the last couple years and Dead and Co. benefit immensely from this. His voice sounds a little raw tonight, but I'm sure he will get by.
