We first saw this guy (or his buddy) in the neighborhood late at night in the Fall driving home from a Billy Strings show. It was dark and we thought our eyes were playing tricks on us.
Then he showed up this week in the backyard.
I'm thinking there is a band of them, as the original one we saw had less brown spots.

"Piebald deer are a rare
"Piebald deer are a rare genetic variation of white-tailed deer characterized by patches of white hair mixed with normal brown hair. This condition is caused by a recessive genetic mutation that affects pigmentation. Unlike albino deer, which lack all pigment and have pink eyes, piebald deer retain normal eye color.
Piebald and albino deer have inspired various legends across cultures, often seen as symbols of good luck or messengers from the spiritual realm."

We have white tail deer here
We have white tail deer here on Long Island. I've been seeing the white deer on and off for years. They call 'Piebald'. I saw on the local news that the Piebald shows an inbreeding problem in the herd. Anyway; it's cool to see them.
