$15,000 but it does include park admission for 12 guests. Tax, tip, parking and valet service from the Grand California hotel are also incorporated into the deal.
It's a special experience, buying an entrance ticket to sit at an overpriced imitation restaurant, in-between excessively long lines for rides. I'm always in the poor's line, too, watching "VIPs" cut in-front, like the $550 we paid to get in wasn't enough. "Kid, here's $25 for a hot dog and water," I say, as we head to next long line. Godawful, retched place.
Did you hear about the ISIS plot to blow it up that was thwarted last year? Think it was kept pretty hush-hush. Four guys in a car with explosives, but making that a big story would've cut into profits worse than their last measles outbreak. It's good to be a giant media company, if you need to control the message.
a childless co-worker has been going regularly to Disneylands/worlds/resorts/cruises worldwide for decades... he got married 10 years ago and they go together (still no kids)... they both work in the tech industry, are gamer nerds, have a bunch of cats and enjoy the symphony (but never rock and roll shoes or bars).
not judging (they're very nice folks)... just describing one such couple in 'that' demographic... they just freakin' love Disney.
conversely, my wife and I have no kids, and we have only gone when one of the kids of family member has gone, which has only been twice in the 26 years we've known each other.
Nothing wrong with Mousing with no kids in tow. Not that i have ever done that but i would like to some day. Planning a trip next year and taking two of the grandsons.

I tried that during a side trip to the Magic Kingdom during the Orlando shows in 91. I was on the "Its a Small World" ride when it was coming on strong and the damn ride broke down then and there. I was stuck watching the robotic children singing the same verse over and over again for about 15 minutes before they got it going again. Nearly lost my shit.

My daughter had a blast at Disneyland. The parade and fireworks at night pretty much rocked her world and in doing so rocked mine pretty hard too.
What I couldn't wrap my head around was how many adults were there w/out kids.
Some of them seemed as if they did it more than that one time.
Kind of a mystery of the universe that one.
