Do you have any favorite Marshall Tucker tunes?

The intermanet says its this one & I didn't even know the name. My day is getting much better all of a sudden..

>>>Heard It in a Love Song

As soon as I saw this thread title, that song got stuck in my head.  Probably the catchiest Marshall Tucker song out their.   I am partial to Fire on the Mountain (not to be confused with GD song of the same name).

Saw them back in 1979 when the Caldwell bro's were still alive, was a kick-ass show (Long Beach Arena?)

Folks tossed the chairs and boogied their asses off, good times!  Too many great tunes to have a fave!

I only know the two they play on the radio.

Cant ya see

Take the highway

and many more!

78 was first year I saw them and continued to see them. It's kinda sad seeing em now but I still go to the show when they r in SD.

Before I discovered The Grateful Dead it was all about southern rock for me. Skynyrd , Outlaws, MTB, CDB,ABB ect. et al. Then I dosed and saw The Grateful Dead on 1/8/79 and it all changed really quickly

"Can't You See"

Is basically the same chord progression as "Dear Mr. Fantasy"  and some others.

Can't you see

Just about everything on "A New Life".

Close to a perfect album IMO.Most of the songs are great, and the couple that are a little less great support the great songs instead of detracting from them.

Can’t you see

sick flute throughout, billy west does a great cover

So many great songs by this band.  I love This Ol' Cowboy...

I think Can't You See was the encore and was much more familiar with this Fire on the Mountain than the one I saw 4/22/77 at the Spectrum....
