Dogs at Shows

Forums:

There is a reason why they say "no dogs allowed."

At the "Bigstock" fest up at the Hoodoo ski area.  My girlfriend and I were walking around the lot yesterday and out of nowhere a dog comes out from an RV and starts to attack.  Perro bravo. I managed to fend it off with my camp chair but it then wiped around and got my partner on the leg.  This is a "no dogs" fest but the vicious mutt was a "ranch dog" the organizer of the fest chose to bring with despite the official policy.  Thankfully security and medical staff where Johnny on the Spot and treated her and documented the whole thing

Seen many fucked up things with dogs at shows so do yourself and your furry friends a favor and keep them at home

>>>do yourself and your furry friends a favor

Do your fellow humans a favor. Leave 'em home.

The organizer brought it? Didn't they make the policy?

And Happy Birthday, Ken. Not a great way to start your birthday festival weekend. Glad you visit Viva.

Agreed Ken.... the only dogs you should bring to a hippy show:

Happy Birthday, Ken.

I would go to more concerts if owners would stay home and dogs were allowed to attend. ;)

I would never take my dog to a show...

I recall getting weird vibes from the kebab dealers on Shakedown back in the day.  Lots of "lost" dogs on tour.

Even just leashing them in the park is something I see less and less of.

"oh she's the sweetest dog ever" - Then attacks my leashed dog.

And then this morning at the packed large dog - dog park I guy decides to bring his tiny dog in on a leash. People are idiots.

Oh, the stories I could tell.

And it's funny, just yesterday I was talking about this very thing with a friend who for many years was the head of security for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco, which even now that it's a fenced event has always allowed any & all dogs.

She was saying that dogs were by far the most common and serious issue she had to deal with.

Hundreds of dogs among 250,000 people crammed into one medium sized and two large meadows for 12+ hours..... what could possibly go wrong?

Only thing worse than taking dogs to shows are taking infants.

Never understood that.  Selfish and irresponsible IMO.

further fest,

pitbulls and weiner dogs.

crazy.

there's a reason i don't have a dog currently.

I had a dog sleep in my hotel room bed the last night of Tinley Park.  I still have her phone number written on the back of my stub.

If they didn't bring any dogs to shows what would I eat at intermission?
