DSO Jubilee 2018 Roll Call

Forums:

Hey now! It's almost Jubilee time! Who's in for this year? We will be to the right of the soundboard having a blast as usual...stop by & say Hey Now! I will have my cooler packed with cold beer and water. The Team Us Crew is going to try to set up a 6 plywood dance floor at our hang spot! Crazy bastards!

Here is this years' schedule! Lineups look extra juicy to me! http://darkstarjubilee.com/home

Not going but thank you for posting the lineup. I didn't realize that Mystic Bowie (Tom Tom Club) is doing a reggae Talking Heads thing. I will have to check them out.

Mystic Bowie's Talking Dreads - Once In A Lifetime

Excellent group of bands but I can’t make it.  Should be a great time!

had big fun when I went to last year's Jubilee... but no way this interloper could swing it this time

cheers to Fark, Lager, and the other Zoners I connected with last year... lineup looks awesome!

Looks like a great time. Have fun!!!

This is my 8th one. Flying solo this year, and will be camping in the main concert bowl. I'm in desperate need of time off of work and grateful dead music. Looking forward to seeing you Fark and anyone else who attends.

1. Fark & friends

2. Lager

Fark, is the east side of Cleveland as rough as I remember it to be? I know around east 125 th it used to be a pretty scary part of town, and I am sure they still throw down pretty hard on Kinsman

Hey now. I have some sad news to report. My wife, Nancy, took a fall while at work on Fri 5/11 and she severely broke her right arm and needs a shoulder replacement surgery next week so there will be no Jubilee for us this year. Dr.'s have told us that it's a 2-3 month recovery time for shoulder replacement surgery. We have already contacted a badass Workers Compensation firm who will be handling her case because she tripped and fell while walking back from one office down the street from hers after having to go there to have some checks signed. It was during her regular work duties so it will easily qualify for Comp.

Lager, I will try to email you some crew members cell #'s so you can easily get in touch with them. Glad you're going to get to attend bro & try to remember my motto, "When things get weird, Go pro!" wink

Fabes, yes most of the East side of Cleveland is still basically a no go zone. Nowadays the gangsta's ride around on ATV's & dirt bikes so they can make ultra quick getaways.

Garyfish, sorry to hear you can't make it this year. It was so cool how we met and that Saturday night DSO show last year was definitely one for the ages. I still get chills thinking about the wind blowing those huge tie dyes rippling over the band & behind the stage bro! One hell of a seriously great night that I will never forget!

Come on Zonahs, this is a fun time fest with great vibes & people! Be there or be square!

1. Fark's friends ~ but no Fark & Nancy

2. Lager

I wish! Since I'm going to Red Rocks, and went to Jamaica, I have to pass on this one. Someday, though. Have a great time to those who are going!

Sorry to hear about Nancy :-(

Really sorry to hear about Nancy, Fark.   I hope the surgery goes well and she heals completely and quickly. I’m also sorry that you have to abort your trip, the friends, the camping and the music.

Bride & I coming in from central NY. (8 hour trip)

Last year was first time. Looking forward to it!

Fark, sorry to hear about Nancy. You and Nancy's hospitality and smile are the ribbons that wrap up the Jubilee. Sorry we will miss you. I'll stop by and see the crew and raise a toast to you guys back home.

Mark, I'm camping in the General Admission this year. Let's exchange hellos.

Fark, best wishes for your wife, I miss Cleveland

Sure! You can see photo of me in profile. Little grayer now :) Generally hang to the right of the soundboard and back by it (not rail riders!)

Pray for good weather!
