Quite wrong, if you actually read his writings. Marx wants the State to dissolve (basics of the idea), just like you do. Marx wants people to get themselves appropriate jobs by developing their personalities and careers (species being), just like you do. Marx wants community, just like you do. Who told you all these lies about Marx? You obviously haven't read his writings, much less given them much thought, and your fear of "diverse populations" probably tells us why: you don't really care.
Maybe it's time to actually read Marx's and Engel's books and essays with care. You will see that Communism hasn't even been attempted yet; most attempts were taken over by dictators (the opposite of a people's government). Next week we'll discuss how Jesus is actually a lefty against the Orthodoxy around him. Think about it.
