Dweezils ripped my flesh!

Forums:

nice, long, meaty show...  this kid's jamming style continues to evolve and grow.

I was blissed most of the show and completely blown away a number times.

They're locked in,  glad you enjoyed the show

Few different songs from a few weeks ago

It wasn't till I saw this lineup live that I could understand y dweezil's been calling it his favorite yet.

Cian coey has really settled in and become a dominant force in the group.

her presence combined with Sheila's has given the band almost a dominant female energy that is really unique and appealing in the long history of Zappa bands.

that kooky semi fretless guitar he was using for torture was a fun treat as well.

the Napa show was very similar too the Fillmore set but with no muffin man, vegetable or tell me u love me.

We did get a bunch of Jason Crosby violin sit ins thinking he's sweet baby mahavishnu or some such and they played 'in the sky' with the new guy nailing the classic Estradesque falsetto.

^New guy>>>Adam Minkoff

I have seen Frank a bunch and I have seen Dweezil and what is amazing about Dweezil is how he does it with so few players. The singers vocal ranges are extreme, and then to be a first rate musicians on multi instruments is just pure talent. Great show if it is in your area.

this made it to my in box for you guitar players

Is that j bass Kurt Morgan's using occasionally this tour fretless too?

What is the purpose going fretless? (I is ignorant when it comes to most forms of instrumentation).

Just gives ya a different a tone in addition to extra slippin and a slidin capabilities

Googly does struggle with his tone at times.

Don't we all?

my wife still hasn't fully grasped the concept that she could probably shut down any argument by simply calmly critiquing my tone and phrasing.

the insecure musician in me would run off crying when sincerely confronted by that damn near every time.

Anyone going to Project Object at the Cutting Room this Sunday?  They have Napoleon and Denny Walley  in the band.

TONE IT DOWN!

he used to be a nice boy~
