I posted this in another thread but Wasserman has access to private district polling data and is usually spot-on. He was about the only polling guru to say Hillary was in big trouble in the days leading up to the last election. He has Biden winning Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Arizona, but losing Florida for 310 electoral votes.

Georgia and North Carolina should have vote totals fairly early. If Biden wins either of those it's gonna be over quick. 

Pennsylvania will take forever to get a total count. Not sure how long it'll take to tabulate the Philly totals, which will be overwhelmingly Biden. Trump is banking on PA lingering for days so him and the GOP can pull their usual fuckery.

Breaking News

A federal judge in Washington, D.C. has ordered the U.S. postal Service to conduct an Election Day "sweep" of facilities in more than 10 states to make sure no mail-in ballots have been held up.

U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan issued the order for certain postal districts in Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Wyoming and parts of Northern New England. The order affects several major cities in those states, including Atlanta, Detroit and Philadelphia.

He told the Postal Service to send "postal inspectors or their designees" to sweep the facilities "to ensure that no ballots have been held up and that any identified ballots are immediately sent out for delivery."

Election officials in several states, along with the NAACP and voting rights groups, have sued the Postal Service, charging that actions by Postmaster General Louis DeJoy had slowed the mail, and risked delaying the delivery of mail in ballots.

The Postal Service says it has suspended those actions, and that it is taking extraordinary steps to ensure that mail in ballots are processed on time. It says it has processed and delivered some 122 million mail in ballots.

However data submitted to the court indicates that the Postal Service is not meeting its on time delivery goals for first class mail in some key swing states, including Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Some 27.5 million mail ballots are outstanding, according to the U.S. Elections Project.

Florida is counting its votes fast with almost 50% reporting.  Biden has about a 200,000 vote lead there so far.   If Florida goes for Biden, that basically seals the deal.

Well, looks like Florida will go to Trump after all, but Biden has a nice lead in Ohio, and if he can flip that state, Trump's path gets much, much harder.  Biden is also leading in Texas with 40%+ reporting, but don't know if that will last.

The polls were off, but Biden's taken a small lead in Wisconsin and has closed ground big-time in Michigan with a huge chunk of the Detroit vote still out. If he wins those two states it's over.

Personally, I think two other recent things had big impact... 1) The mute button won Trump people, 2) Joe’s oil and fracking comments. 

Trump won Florida, in large part, because he mobilized the massive Cuban and Venezuelan Americans to come out and vote against that Socialist, Biden. He made huge inroads in Miami-Dade with that tactic.

It looks like Biden outperformed Clinton in many, many of the urban and suburban areas. At the same time, Trump outperformed his  2016 numbers in all those shithole, backwards-ass counties.

Where do you come up with this dreck? There is absolutely no truth to this, at all. The Latinx vote isn't a monolith, and there's a huge difference in the voting priorities of the Cubans and Venezuelans vs Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and Central Americans. Biden did very well with the latter.

- Black people are victims and white people are all racist and privileged.....all hammered down throughout the year via organizations and the media. I think this pushed back some of the vote (especially in the swing states) to Trump.

- Resentment against Democratic Governors and their handling of COVID. I'd have to imagine this played a role.

- Riots - Through a pandemic, riots were many times left unchecked, I think a lot of people are uncomfortable with this position toward the rule of law. Once again, tipping votes toward the Don.

This whole thing says way more about the awful, pandering Democrats than it does for Trump.

IMO Sanders would be behind where Biden is at present.

Well, the EC is a joke, but PR and DC aren't states.

Presidential elections shouldn't be counted by state, but by national popular vote totals alone.

Sanders may not have won either but at least it would have been two firebrands, two distinct ideologies, two people who really connect (for better and in some cases, worse) with people.

If neither candidate wins the Electoral College and the election goes to the House of Representatives, Trump would win as president, not Biden. Votes in that scenario are allocated not by population but in the same manner as the US Senate. The Republicans has more states right now and will probably still have more states when it is all said and done. No mixed party Pres/VP possibilites.

Yep and the latest results now show Biden with a small lead in Wisconsin and Michigan and the trend as more of the votes are counted is looking good.  Feel much better this morning than last night. 

Thanks for the insight Tony, I was unaware that they apportion the votes by state in the House.  Looks like Joe needs to win Georgia, North Carolina or Pennsylvania.  
 

Unfortunately, Ken, that one vote Joe picked up in Nebraska is going to be cancelled by the one vote he is going to lose in the Northern Maine district.

Wrong, Dave. Biden would be at 264 if he takes WI and MI. Nevada is worth six. Trump would be at 264 if he took NC, GA and PA.

Yesterday morning the BOE changed the rules. We were all stunned.

If things play out for Biden as it's unfolding my buddy TJ will have 100% predicted the election results to a T on Monday when he sent me the map he predicted.

You're right, Mr. Timpane, I just double-checked the math, and Joe hits 270 with Nevada, Wisconsin and Michigan.  Thank our lucky stars.  I think Biden will win at least one of Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, but he won't have to.

I'm going ahead and calling Biden-Harris for the win.  
 

Super surprised once again at the sheer number of white males who went to the polls for Trump.  It honestly amazes me that nearly half the country is racist.  

Does it really amaze you, JR? What do you think was shown 4 years ago when the same half of the country voted Trump? 
It honestly shouldn't amaze you anymore. And if you really dig into the history of this country - you are going to find that there has always been a large contingent of racists in this country.

Yes, but I guess I was hoping that after four years some had died off and those who were 14 four years ago and now eligible to vote were perhaps less racist.
