I love Eric Clapton!

MCI-Criteria_Studio-C_Console-7_2.jpg

We purchased Tom Dowd's {Bee Gees & Derek & the Dominos Producer) main MCI  console in 87 from Criteria Studios and payed a bunch to have trucked up here insured.

More US based Gold Records were tracked & mixed on this desk, then any other like it ever. The discrete circuits had so much warmth, little to no EQ was needed.

Every Bee Gees Hit & every Eric Clapton track from 1970-1974 went threw her ~

I tracked a bunch of stuff on it for Rainbow, Deep Purple, Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gormé.

Steve & Eddie were very nice to me and said that I reminded of their son (who had just passed away). Tuff pill man...

It was like XMAS eve they just wanted to get out of the house and we just hung out all night long & talked. I love them, they were so nice to me. My parents were living in the Mid West, i was living alone, working & paying for my education & in a dark very large 48 track recording studio, doing it all ~

I was not well fed & poor, But handsome ~

RIP + Eydie Gorme +

What’s your name?

Ahhhh... Nothing like a bellyfull of warm discreet circuits in the morning.

Cool story, Bluelight.
