Have we ever looked back on
Have we ever looked back on those times in our history when we intentionally marginalized (or worse) people because of race, ethnicity, gender, or religion and said "I'm really glad that we did that"?

Last week I was meeting with a person on my caseload who was sent with his family to Utah. He was two years old when they had to leave the Richmond area (East SF Bay). His older brother was seven at the time and told us about the ordeal: sleeping in horse stalls, etc. They were relatively lucky: a white neighbor kept an eye on their homestead, which was in a rural area, and they were able to return to it when they were finally released. Incredible.
