First Terrapin

YES

Like an angel, standing in a shaft of light

This whole show just drips & should be on every deadhead's top ten list

One of the very few Dead shows Robert Hunter went to after the '60's.

^^ Interesting factoid.

Eyes > Dancin' cooks.

my first Terrapin (and first hometown show in the old arena for the Baltimore Bullets and various concerts):

May 26, 1977 Baltimore Civic Center, Baltimore, MD

An often overlooked Spring 77 show with a Sugaree, Sunrise, High Time, Terrapin and an Uncle John's encore.

This show is on Dave's Picks Volume 29 and was also the first Estimated Prophet...now I have to go listen to this show :-)

My first was the encore at Englishtown 77.

Hunter San Rafael November 77 (miss that guy)

interesting factoid I'd forgotten - just read in one review that the TS album wasn't released until July 77 (after that notable Spring tour)

another good one from November 77 (thanks Ed Perlstein) - for educational purposes, of course

I used to love getting sandwiches at the Belli Deli!

They got a lot of free advertising back then; Phil wore that shirt at a bunch of shows!

The San Rafael location closed about 5 years ago I think.

Another factoid:

Swing Auditorium had to be demolished.....after being hit by a plane on September 11,1981...

The San Rafael location closed about 5 years ago I think.

That's about right, and the original owners sold it sometime in the 90s. That was my usual stop on the way to Oakland for pre/post show munchies!

Swing Auditorium had to be demolished.....after being hit by a plane on September 11,1981...

I did not know that!

Mickeys birthday... show at the Greek that night

^First show since John Lennon killed. He's Gone was probably pretty heavy.

9-11-81....First Dead show at the Greek since '68....

From Setlists.net....Show was 7 PM start. At 6:45 the band came out and played Terrapin (WTF) What was this great new song? Then it was gone and it was 7 PM.

My 1st two were the kick off of the East tour 4/22/77 (end set 2, no encore) & 9/3/77 (encore set 3).
