Being far from 'the tower' my
Being far from 'the tower' my droid device is always switching between 4G LTE, 4G and 3G (sometimes 1X, whatever that is). So although I'm allocated 3 gigabytes of 4G LTE bandwidth I have not managed to use it all up. If I want to download a show, I go where there's fast & free Wi-Fi.
At the moment, my droid is also my wireless modem/router using a tethering app called 'PDANet' . Faster than dial-up but slower than say, Panera Wi-Fi.

I lost my last flipper at the Port Chester Hilton. They said they would mail it along to me but never did. Oh well, it was a five-dollar fone.
I can sort of see the advantage of the current, more futuristic device, but battery life is poor.

I do like the advantage of having a microcomputer in my pocket when out traveling; I can query "Peruvian Restaurant Lancaster PA" and find a place to eat.
