Flooding in Maryland

Forums:

Just outside Baltimore, quite a sight on the video. Be smart, stay safe.

DEVELOPING: Flash flooding, water rescues reported in Maryland as heavy rain soaks much of the state. https://abcn.ws/2IQiUsy

Video shows water rushing down Main Street in Ellicott City, just outside Baltimore. It's the same street devastated by flash flooding in July 2016.

Yeah,  terrible weather there West of Balt.

They had big Floods a couple years back,  but have not fixed the Storm drains.

Also the downtown area is low-lying and prone to flooding.

Some developers apparently dozed some Woodlands nearby for housing acreage.  That former Woodland area helped soak up Rainwater,  but is gone.

Ellicott City's historic downtown is a really cool little place, but I can imagine how it would be at risk of flooding.  Looks pretty bad and hope the make a speedy recovery.

Actually,  the place has a long history of floods.

They need to bring in a team of engineers from Amsterdam to show them a few tricks...

"Holy fucking shit!" is such a great non-specific descriptor, whether for good or ill.
