Florida Question

Forums:

We’re getting el cheapo airlines to Orlando in February, and we’re thinking about taking advantage of it.

We want to fly in, rent a car and stay on an Air BnB on th beach. What are the chill beaches that are an easy drive from m Orlando? Gulf vs. Atlantic?

Any advice is appreciated.

According to Jimmy Buffett, St. Augustine has some of the prettiest beaches in Florida.  Place is dripping in history too.  It's about an hour and a half from Orlando.    Hear the gulf is overrun by red tide as of late.

Nice, thanks!

I have cousins in Boca, but we don’t want to stay with them. I know nothing of the state.

Brian K, guess what you can be minutes from the beach if you want to rent my property!  I'm serious if you want something on the Gulf Coast.  Orlando is dung.

I just changed my mind, you're unpredictable.

I appreciate the offer while it lasted.

We stay near the beach in.New Smyrna beach about 45-60 minutes from orlando. Nice little burg 20 minutes south of Daytona. Lots of good food and bars, traffic to Orlando is insane.

Orlando airport is a big mess. Especially in February when all the kids are on school vacation.

listen to Denny on his New Smyrna suggestion, it is a good one, small, and some nice watering holes and beaches.

i fish Titusville and it is has probably some of the most unpopulated beaches, but they are in the state park. Just find one of the parking areas with no cars, pop over the dunes and private beach, but there is little else in Titusville.
