Folks near Glenwood Springs, Moab, and Flagstaff. Great show this weekend!

Went to this show about Glen Canyon last night in Salt Lake and it is fabulous. https://www.glencanyon.org/the-glen-canyon-rises-tour/

I'd been familiar with Zak Podmore and Dawn Kish, as they presented at a writing workshop I attended last year by the Entrada Institute by Capitol Reef. https://www.entradainstitute.org/

Zak's presentation is eye-opening (and upcoming book - https://zakpodmore.com/  )  and Dawn Kish's touching film "Tad's Emerging World"  https://dawnkish.com/film/#tadsemergingworld  is great. Award-winning documentary at film festivals. 

But I was blown away by the music of Peter McLaughlin and Jackson Emmer. As someone who has tried to write songs about this amazing Utah landscape, I was so filled with inspiration and joy listening to these two folks I'd never heard of before. Peter's songs about Evertt Reuss and Katie Lee and Jackson's songs as well, including one he just finished about Bessie Hyde. Their guitar playing and harmonies were just amazing, and I'm so glad to discover these two folks. 

If you might have interest in Glen Canyon, Lake Foul, the canyon country, water issues, or just fine music, I'd highly recommend you check this tour out.
