Phish Radio & SiriusXM present Dinner And A Movie: Live from the Ninth Cube! Phish will perform three full sets this New Year’s Eve, LIVE from the Ninth Cube. The show will be performed without an audience and will be webcast for free on Phish's YouTube channel and LivePhish.com, with a simulcast on Phish Radio on SiriusXM. Phish will take the stage promptly at 8:30PM ET on December 31st.

This show is part of Phish's Dinner And A Movie series, and so there shall be dinner! The recipes were chosen by the band and feature Trey’s own recipe for Lemonade, a Whole Roasted Chicken with Lemon, a Lemon Pasta vegetarian entrée, and for dessert: Lemon Bars. Recipes can be found at: https://phish.com/news/daam-ninth-cube/

The DAAM series has distributed nearly $900,000 in donations via the WaterWheel Foundation since the start of the pandemic to help non-profits around the country (and beyond). Our friends at SiriusXM have generously underwritten production costs to make this webcast free, and we are hoping to come together once again as a community to support those in need. The WaterWheel Foundation will be raising money for a handful of non-profits close to the Phish community. Donate at anytime now at phish.com/waterwheel.

We will also have three limited edition posters available from the original Garden run for sale beginning this Thursday via Phish Dry Goods, along with some additional event merch. Proceeds from these poster sales will be donated to The WaterWheel Foundation and more details will be shared soon via Dry Goods.

Shortly after New Year’s Eve, video of this performance will be available on the SXM app.

Oops, just posted the same on NYE thread.  So stoked for this!

Such an amazingly generous move by one of my all time favorite bands!

Yay! So cool of Phish to do this.

Very cool!

While other bands are charging for replays of past shows this band is playing live for free.
They are digging in their own pockets to support a network of people involved in the production.

They are still the original band members!!! So rare.

yesyes

nice !

Good on them

My niece, who lives in Lititz, PA, a small town in central Pennsylvania near Lancaster, told me about Rock Lititz. She said there would be occasional sightings of well known musicians, who are working at the Rock Lititz studios.

Let's Fuckin Goooooooooo!!

Wonder how much Dead & Co would charge if in the same circumstances?

Offering up a free show like this is very very impressive. Mad respect to Phsh.

JR I believe or hope  D&C would offer the same if faced with a last minute decision. But I'm probably wrong. They only made hundreds of millions of dollars for the past 50 something years. Probably close to a billion. That money disappears fast when your living the high life.

"This is the first time we played a show that everyone that wanted to get in could. "

After watching for awhile my suggestion to them is never talk. Total rubbish nonsense. And your music is shallow nonsense.

Please give me some examples of the depth which you swim in.

That Betty White moment was hilarious!

I'm having some good fun.  And it sounds like they are as well.

(and to think that I was planning to attend an outdoor show tonight with a forecast of 36 degrees)

Happy NYE!

nice that they are doing this for free/charity. pretty cool.

have fun kids.

Down with disease
Three weeks in my bed
Trying to stop these demons that keep dancing in my head

Down with disease
Up before the dawn
A thousand barefoot children outside dancing on my lawn, and I keep

Waiting for the time when I can finally say
That this has all been wonderful but now I'm on my way
But when I think it's time to leave it all behind
I try to find a way but there's nothing I can say to make it stop

Down with disease and the jungles in my mind
They're climbing up my waterfalls and swingin' on my vines
So I try to hear the music but I'm always losing time
'Cause they're stepping on my rhythm and they're stealin' all my lines
Stealin' all my lines and I keep

Waiting for the time when I can finally say
That this has all been wonderful but now I'm on my way
But when I think it's time to leave it all behind
I try to find a way but there's nothing I can say to make it stop

Miss You

You're smiling at me
From your picture frame
And I miss you
My life keeps on changing
But you stay the same
I miss you
So many moments
That we should have shared
I miss you

And the days turn to years
And it hasn't stopped yet
The memories we shared
I will never forget
No I will never forget

There's a hole in my heart
That will never be filled
I miss you
This all should get easier
But it never will
I miss you
I float through the days
And the long lonely nights
I miss you

And I hear your footsteps
You're coming down the stairs
Lost in your laughter
The sun in your hair
A brief recollection
The light in your eyes
I see the reflection
But it passes by
It passes me by

You're smiling at me
From your picture frame
And I miss you
Every morning I wake up
And I whisper your name
I miss you
You're in faces of people
I see on the street
You're everywhere
You're everywhere
You're everywhere

Good on the Fishes for playing a show for all their peeps stuck at home or avoiding crowds tonight. Everyone can go to the show on their couch - occasionally rising to dance.  HNY

I was touched by the words to "Miss You." And after seeing this on Twitter.....  The guy restored the pic she had by her bedside.

Betty White kept a photo of her late husband Allen Ludden at her bedside & would blow him a kiss every morning. If there is an afterlife, I hope she's with her Allen.

(This is a different picture, one of them together.)

Happy New Year!

It's Gonna Be Alright...

Atta' boy Johnny.

This show is missing the heavy 3rd dimension of a crowd to push the band, a band that is affected by a crowd as much as any band ever has been, but it's just so cool that these guys are doing it at all, and they're still doing it just fine.

Atta' boy Phish.

Pay the lemon aid? Ummm?

Baby Lemon aid?

I've only seen a few Phish shows, but this one is really starting to trip me out...

They're a trippy band Johnny.

If one takes in the totality of their story & their music over all the years they're maybe as trippy a band as ever has been, with so many, many multiple layers of trip to them.

One of those trips is how they have gotten to this point, how they're still going so successfully with their own trip after all the years, all the changes, all the ups & downs, all the vicissitudes that happen in any situation over three+ decades.

LLP!

And BTW, I hope that baby is a boy. It will be difficult to explain why a girl is named Harry.

GO PHISH!!!

trim thode lites

Good musicians. Enjoyed hearing them play.

The main problem with Phish, really dumb lyrics.

Their lyrics are deep enough to rock to.

^^^Well stated

Baby lemonade was a train wreck.

extremely generous of them to put on the show...it didn't quite move me though.

>>>extremely generous of them to put on the show

LOL

They make millions every year. One free show is not going to bankrupt them. It's the least they could have done!

At least the GD did ton's of free show's and benefits back in the day.

I never claimed it would bankrupt them.  Just because they have money doesn't mean it's not generous nor does mean they owe us anything.

I don't recall tons of free dead shows at the later stages of their career.  Fine, maybe Jerry's celebration of life in GGP but that seems like an exception.

I was in and out of that stream.  Was the vacuum solo the high point?
