Further Explorations Of The Grateful Dead At Madison Square Garden

Too bad those first MSG 1979 shows are not part of this--I was at those and the energy and performance quality was better than some of the 80s and 90s show they included--in my humble view.  Perhaps they lack these in the vault but to have the entire 52 MSG show run would make for a great collection.

I saw the 1st show of the tour on Friday the 5th, there was no show on the 6th, the first MSG on the 7th is almost the same show.  Since I could only see weekend shows back then, I missed the next 3 nights, all good/great performances.

Played on both 1/5 & 1/7

Stagger Lee, From the Heart of Me, Estimated, Eyes, Black Peter, R & Round, Good Lovin'.

1/8/79 was my first show and I was hooked. The Half Step is phenomenal . The Sept. 79 shows at MSG were also pretty good. The La Bamba show 87? and 3/10/81 are my two favorite shows from MSG.

Sandiegohead 9/18/87 .... one of my top 3 as well

In my newbie days, I was able to make all but one msg 1991 show:

The Branford night /:
