This show is an absolute smoker and was one of my all-time best JGB experiences too. The chilly winds and blowing snow outside only made it all the warmer and more magical inside. There seemed to be a small technical issue that extended the killer Lay Down Sally....for starters anyway.

Not the best quality but here ya go:

i remember driving up from chicago for that show.it was quite early in the season for snow. jerry played the night before in rosemont and ended the show with a smokin midnight moonlight that had everyone dancin in the aisles. a couple of repeats from the rosemont show which was common on that fall tour. sure was worth the drive. target center was the following night which ended the tour.oh what a wonderful world.I looked forward to the garcia band tours more than GD tours in the early 90s.cant wait to hear the show again.

I had to look that one up, see that it is Milwaukee, WI.

The above "Lay Down Sally" comment made me think it was Albany, NY where there was some technical gaffe with Jerry kicking his amp (in a non-confrontational manner) and some scramble to refresh the interface between Jerry, Twin Reverb and MacIntosh MC 2300.

"Lay Down Sally" must be the deadly equipment malfunction cover tune.

Love this show. Rosemont was OK, Bradley was magical!

(StrawBud, this is yet another show we have in common.) yes

cool

I missed that one

I've had the first set for years on CD. Always loved it. Especially that Lay Down Sally which is really delicious and groovy. Jerry really goes places with it.

Ha! No shit, who was (er, is) deadly and why did he keep following me?! ;)

We should swap notes because it does seem like we saw lots of the same shows. I was based out of Chicagoland back in the day but also made treks east, west, north and south too for tours, runs, and random shows....just like most of the rest of us ;)

Yes, that Midnight Moonlight at Rosemont was on fire but Milwaukee (and prob MN too?) was golden.

....I believe this show also got a fair amount of attention and related threads near the end of PZ, around the same time I was finally about join but that option window closed.

...I also loved JGB @ Rochester 11/4/93. Funky rundown War Memorial venue that had its cobwebs blasted away by good ole Garcia & Co. JGB shows were special treats that did not come often enough (for me anyway) but I did typically like them better than early 90's GD in comparison.

...once Brent checked out anyway. Then, in my opinion, it was largely downhill from there. Sadly.

StrawBud, I saw the Rochester show in 93. Albany and Buffalo, too.

Got nabbed recording Rochester during the Way You Do 2nd set opener and was escorted out of the building. frown

Missed the Don't Let Go! broken heart

Was it you who was following me?wink

Could very well be the case, deadly....it was a little blurry in terms of whom may have been following whom back then but it sure was a fkn great road anyway.

How 'bout these good-time-in-life stops from '90?:

Hamilton

Bonner Springs

Deer Ceek

Made all Deer Creek shows except 7/2/95.

Missed Hamilton 90 but saw 92.

Never went to Bonner Springs sad

Back to JGB, cherry popped at Alpine 89 then Hoffman Estates (Let's Spend The Night Together). The Big Man and the Fat Man were rockin' that tour!

Right On! I saw Poplar Creek and loved it (first JGB show for me) but heard from several friends that Alpine was downright religious
