OK, since I first saw the clip many moons ago it has been baked in my brain that Jerry holds up the joint and says "Marijuana- Exhibit A" at Woodstock. I just read a segment in Boston Sunday Globe that references weed references in movie history and gives that a nod, quoting: "Marijuana- makes you behave."
Pulled up the movie and watched the clip and lo and behold- I believe that's right, though I can hear it both ways listening for either one.
I've only seen comments, attributions (IMDB), even t-shirts (so it must be true) that indicate "Exhibit A."

I have always though Exhibit
I have always though Exhibit A - but I tried, like you did, to hear it as Makes You Behave - and I can hear that - but clearly at the end he ends on the long A with no V sound - so I conclude Exhibit A it is.

Try to focus on the first
Focus on the first word after marijuana- seems like he's mouthing more of an "m" than "e" to me. In the grand scheme, ain't no big thing but the message would be apropos of the event if it's about weed and behaving. And it would debunk a longstanding (I think) assumption.
