fuck 2016, and fuck all. ize iz seriussess...

last christmas?

Gotta have faith.

I got a free ticket to his show a few years ago so I went, not expecting much more than a campy showbizzy Madonna type deal, and I was blown away by how good he was and how good the music & show was. Ever since I've been looking forward to seeing him again.

Sigh.

On it goes.

Saw some recent pictures of him in a link to a UK newspaper. He looked like he weighed about 250. Couldn't believe it was him.

Everybody will always talk about how much you suck, until you die in 2016. Then you're a genius.

#Georgemicheal

So true! I had a HUGE argument yesterday over the fact that Zsa Zsa Gabor, Alan Thicke and Florence Henderson are now genii. No one believed me.

You argue over that stuff? Lol

RIP George Michael

Deadpool will be sad.  WHAM!

Too bad he died so young, but the dude made some awful music. Just fucking terrible.

I mean bad, for real. Seriouslee

Was it terrible music, or rather music that you don't like?

Another 2016 tragedy!

Was not the type of music I would go buy or go see in concert, but he was talented.

Will never forget his version of "Dont Let the Sun Go Down" with Elton at Live Aid.

I also got to work with George on a Diet Coke commercial in 1989.

Some George Michael facts:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Michael

Michael sold more than 100 million records worldwide. His 1987 debut solo album, Faith, sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. Michael garnered seven number one singles in the UK and eight number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, including "Careless Whisper" and "Freedom! '90". He ranks among the best-selling British acts of all time, with Billboard magazine ranking him the 40th-most successful artist to ever live.

He's also one of the few white-male singers to have a single reach #1 on the billboard R&B chart.

He has also had some pretty successful tours: The 25 Live tour was the most commercially successful tour of 2006–2007 in Europe. The tour grossed more than $200 million, with positive reviews from music critics. The 106 tour shows were performed in 41 countries and seen by 2 million fans across the globe.[1]

In 2004, the Radio Academy named Michael the most played artist on British radio during the period 1984–2004.

He also wrote and produced much of his material.

So while some here might easily dismiss George Michael due for various nefarious reasons, it's pretty clear that he was a very talented and successful singer, songwriter and producer. He also hosted that "Sports Machine" show that was revolutionary in bringing sports highlights to American TV viewers.

The music of George Michael was featured heavily in the recent Key and Peele movie Keanu.   I had forgotten how many hits the guy had.

After having the radio on most of the day, I gotta go with "both".

Saw that he'd put on some weight. Was wondering if he went the Persian and chilli dog route. Guess he did.
