I wonder if Garcia's thinking about licorice applies to Good and Plenty too. I would think so.

So naturally they don't make those anymore.

we had high friends in places, GDTS... to find our ticket orders among the thousands of envelopes, we used the good n plenty technique of pink highlighter and black marker dashes on the border of both sides of the envelopes. Our friends would pluck em out and give us " the good seats" I taught my mom how to do it she got third row in front of Jerry, at that famous Naussau Branford shoe..her dental hygienist, who brought her was literally floored.. " how did you get These seats?"...we were always in sec 102 at the dump pretty close up.. those were the Days

Good & Fruity was either before my time or not in the greater-NYC market.  I have no memory of it.

I wonder if it fought for shelf space with Mike & Ike at any point.

Not bad, but I consider Good & Plenty to be the "classic".

On a related note:

Cocoa Pebbles > Fruity Pebbles
