Graham Nash

Forums:

I had the good fortune to catch his show last night in Ft Lauderdale. I hadn't seen him in, well a really long time. I was more than pleased. I actually couldn't believe how great his voice still is. It was almost like being transported back to 1970. The band he's playing with were excellent and really fit his songs and sounds and the harmonies he is noted for. Todd Caldwell(keyboards), has been with him for a long time, but the real treat for me were Adam Minkoff (bass, drums, guitar), and Zach Djanikian (guitar, bass, drums). These two multi-talented guys were outstanding on every instrument they played, sharing responsibilities on several different guitars, drums, bass and one time on sax. Top notch playing and some good jams to boot. Their vocal abilities were spot on in producing that CSN sound. I loved Graham's story telling about how each song came about, particularly the one about Garcia on Teach Your Children. Lots of references to Joni Mitchell and Crosby and Stills. A most entertaining and enjoyable evening of music. So glad I pulled the trigger on this one, because even though there is some great new talent out there, those who produced the soundtrack of my generation are leaving us all to quickly. And as we all know, when they're gone, they are gone forever. "Such a long, long time to be gone and a short time to be here. See them while you can my friends.

Saw the thread title and though "oh no."

Glad to see you had a great show. Graham's a true professional who seemed to be one of the more grounded member of CSN(Y) over the years.

GTTS!

This is fascinating  ... Graham takes all the Steve Stills lead vocals

But in the 3 part harmony, he does the lower David Crosby parts,.... which he has sung next to for 1000 gigs

The dude to his left sings the high Graham Nash harmony parts.

Great to see such a good performance of this in 2025!!!! Glad that they figured it out....

yea

the rest hurts

I was there when they debuted the Suite, was able to snag Grahams lyrics/ notes that night for the song and got Judy Collins to sign it in Dec!

Great song writer and singer and dude has kept his shit together over the years much more than his band mates.  Saw him a little while back and it was musically a great show.  But boy does he like to tell stories.  Not as bad as Crosby was, but still.

Wow, Fish!   Impressive!

Trey Anastasio from Phish said he once met CSNY backstage around 2000, and Graham Nash came up to him, gave congratulations on Phish's success, then grabbed him by the lapels and shouted: "NOW DON'T FUCK IT UP!!!" lol (of course, Trey did, not long afterwards).

Love that Mosthigh!  Right in character for Graham....

Picked up a front row for Geneva in September.
