Well then pass the Grey Poupon, I didn't realize there were "boutique" grapefruit varieties. I suppose it's possible there exists some variety of "grapefruit" out there that I'd consume ... but I'm still skeptical.
I was under the impression that genuine licorice = geniune licorice ... and the way it manifests itself in "candy" is similar to the way ginger gets bastardized into all sorts of confections that often result in an end product containing very little in the way of actual ginger.
i didnt think i'd like a "grapefruit" beer but highland brewing out of asheville has a killer pale ale that has a wave of grapefruit/citrus that's bound to please. so does lagunitas. tried several since i got onto those & they're very good

There are many more Grapefruit varieties in existence compared to what you see on the supermarket produce shelf.
When I had a place in FLA. the nearby 'flea market' had some citrus vendors who(m) had samples for tasting.
Just a multitude of flavors that probably never leave Florida. Much more like an entire Galaxy compared to 'Black or Red Twizzlers'.
