Grass Lands

Forums:

I am not ever going to Outside Lands, but am curious if now that they have "Grass Lands," where you can buy and smoke legal weed, if the hammer will come down hard on those what bring their own or smoke outside of the designated "pot garden." My guess would be yes.

Yes they'll be strict but Outside Lands patrons think weed is for boring stoners.

maybe vend some open faced sammies.

It'll be the same relaxed, well-run event it's always been. The Grass Lands bit is just good marketing, something Another Planet has always been very good at.

As large festivals go Outside Lands has always been an excellent event, one that I have enjoyed from a physical standpoint WAY more than Hardly Strictly.

I'd be there right now if they booked bands I liked, and I'm disappointed that they don't and that I won't be going again this year. But large festivals are for weekenders & kids so I get the bookings; that's my problem, not theirs.

Anyway, for anyone who is going, I'm sure there will be no "hammers" coming down.

Go to the show!

I will be at HSBG again this year where there are always bands that I like. It can be logistically tricky, but it's a free admission event, so nobody has any reason to complain.

The Outside Lands has always had a steep ticket price and not as many interesting (to me) bands, so that has kept me away.

Not that I won't pay big bucks for special shows... those first Q shows at Terrapin Crossroads come to mind.
