Magnolia Pictures has been a new player that has been trolling me the last month & ® tiny pieces of each movie, one bit a time, each day.

But I respect that, each piece is a very special component to the Mini, like "Greta Garbo". So they did the same today. No problem, I can use all the friends I can get.

The CNN Ruth Ginsberg special tonight, is produced by Magnolia Pictures.

Another great jam ruined by some terrible pinky slide by Weir

Hi Ya Mr T,

It's such a beautiful song.

Here lies “If I Had the World to Give”

Murdered by Bob Weir’s Pinky Slide in 1978

Not sure you have the ability to watch my Mini Movie or not; but other than here -its well liked by most of the fans and by the cast in it.

The entire Movie's rights are now under Sony.

Great great jam, executable by some cool slide effects by Mr. Weir as the band- played in the dark for most of that set aas the entire theater lights were out.

A key-piece of 'Dead-Lore"

Peace

I watched it. The audience recording is pretty good and I don’t really like audience recordings that much. Overall, great show. IMO, they never really nailed “If I had the World to Give” live. This version is filled with miscues throughout the song and it ends abruptly after weir brings its signs its death sentence. Phil screws up the bass line coming into the chorus a couple of times. They were just all on different pages and never able to do this song the justice of the studio version. That could possibly be a reason why they shelved it. I’m not trying to ruin any bodies fun but I just though it was a pretty sloppy performance overall on all members part for that particular song during this performance. Hope all I well, Blue light and good night.

never able to do this song the justice of the studio version.<<

A pretty low bar to begin with.  IMO, neither Garcia nor Hunter got the fat part of the bat on this one.  Ditto Lowell George.

(Apologies if this was your wedding song.)laugh

Always thought the studio version was great in many ways. They just got way to fucked up on speed balls in 78’ to do a great live version.

Cool stuff guys.

Garcia nor Hunter got the fat part of the bat on this one<<

Its the corny Bridge?

Bridge admittedly isn’t my favorite part. I don’t mind it though. I like the little middle eastern jiggy dance for a chorus though. Mickey complete forget how’s to play it in blue lights “mini movie”.

Blues note, can you provide some examples of songs where Garcia and/or Hunter were able to get the “fat part of the bat”? Thanks.

Hi man,

I think b-note would mean in -fat part of the bat-no foul balls at all-like Come a Time & Mission & Mission in the Rain which are perfect musically, lyrically and in every time Jerry sang them.

George Harrison, John, Dylan, S&G as great as they were had a couple of tear jerkers, Jerry had fist full of them.

Hi, Blue light.

Blue Note is a big boy. He can answer the question. While writing Comes a time hunter struggled with the lyrics and they eventually just got rid of the last verse. I think it really worked out beatutifully as Garcia was able to add in that great phaser guitar solo in its place. Nothing is exactly perfect, but you two are the first two that I’ve ever heard have some kind of issue with world to give. I suggest you go back and listen to the studio version for reference. It’s a beautiful song with great lyrics and a wonderful set composition by Garcia and I’m not sure what exactly you have an issue with. That’s why I was asking.

Hi Ya Tm,

Yeah, I agree. Thank you!

I need to brush up on my GD lore, right Timmy?

hahahah

PS - That is London in the Jack a Roe, the footage was used before, but this time I got ® from the Parliament.

I also have the OK to do so in NYC, Rome & at the Pyramids.

Yo ~

Is it me? Pitch seems off on this, like it's a tad too fast.

Played this song as my friends walked up the aisle
