New Grateful Dead Auction Gives Fans The Chance To Take Home Rare Band Memorabilia

Union, IL’s Donley Auctions will be hosting a special auction on Saturday, September 8th, giving Grateful Dead fans a unique experience to bid on one-of-a-kind items associated with the beloved jam band and their organization. The auction includes rare and signed posters, handbills, laminates, Jerry Garcia and Stanley Mouse original art, instruments, t-shirts/jackets, general merchandise, records/CDs/DVDs/, as well as many cool and unusual items from Grateful Dead staff.

Fans will have a chance to bid on a Western Duster-style jacket worn by members of the Grateful Dead during their 1987 “Throwing Stones” music video shoot. Other rare items include a Jerry Garcia signed check to wife Manasha Matheson, Jerry Garcia’s Rolodex from the Grateful Dead offices, Jerry Garcia’s 1988 Bay Area Music Award “Guitarist of the Year” statue, the Grateful Dead’s “Throwing Stones” video script, an extremely rare 1/2 band signed poster, and much more.

The live auction will take place on Saturday, September 8th, at 10 a.m. (CT). All items are currently available for pre-bidding, with a preview available to the public, Friday, September 7th, from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m.
