The Persuasions backing up Arlen Roth.

I was turned on to this by Paul Simon's brother, Eddie, at the Guitar Study Center (someone gifted me a semester) one night in '81.  He had one of those Panasonic portable cassette players, and he kept rewinding to play different passages.

The Persuasions also graced my favorite ever version of "Liberty", by (get this) . . . Ratdog (11/18/00; Hammerstein).  Seriously.  Mark Karan played some sawed-off looking octave guitar.  It was just exactly perfect.
