...Grateful Dead Chinese New Year.jpg

Almost darned certain I attended them there shows,

Carlos Santana sat in a bit on 1/26/93.

My first visit to Oakland Coliseum; drove down from OR.

I was amazed by the volleyball game at set break, and the fellow(?) in the LED Bear costume.

Actually, I am 100 % certain that I was there, but had to check a tattered copy of "DeadBase" to see if I actually made it to all three nights.  It actually was some years back.

I camped out at a buddy's place in Livermore, and forgot a jacket there.

What a space-O I was. It was  a nice Jacket.

I only made it out to one Chinese New Year run. I was psyched when they busted out Get Back the first night, but then Weir started singing.

I was at 1/29/1987 year of the Rabbit too. My only one as well. One of the few ticket stubs that are missing.

Happy Year of the Rooster!

I was at all of the Chinese New Year's shows at the Kaiser, and as usual, had great times.

No 1987 for me. Not in West Coast venues for sure. Maybe I caught a few Easterns here and there ???

I was attending University in Montréal, Quœbèc and had to attain a 3.8 GPA or else.

So I won and got my 3.88 and the Degree.  Then again , no doubt I went to '87 shows, but certainly not in California.

 NYC or Nassau or Philly...

My daughter is there celebrating New Years.  She says it's amazing how beautifully they decorate and how happy everyone is.

Ooh, China>Rider, lovely decorations!

Yes it's pretty awesome!  We're getting a lot of great pictures from her.  She is in Nanjing now staying with a host family for the new year holiday which lasts about 10 days.

Perhaps this deity is a Zoner, he seems to know the salute.

I chuckled. Looking pretty fierce. Thanks.
