It was actually Saint Patrick Muldoon who discovered America. While leaving Dublin Harbor searching for a shortcut to Wales, the crew became so inebriated they fought over the direction and ended up wrecking the sails, helm, rudder and all means of navigation. By the time they came to, they were at Plymouth Rock.
